Fun fact: I can purchase digital copies of the programs with my credit card without incident. When I want to purchase Member+ status, however, it demands I use PayPal and then says my information is incorrect because my father uses my e-mail address for his PayPal. Why would one form of purchase ever need to work differently from the other? Seems silly to me...
I just read why XCOM had been shut down for so long without a new installment. Apparantly, Hasbro didn't know jack about the video game industry and shut down two of their projects because they didn't produce profits or games in the first few months. There's a lesson in here for game designers.
After careful consideration, I have decided to rename my game (for the second and final time). I am very pleased with the new name, especially considering that it fills both my quotas of "ties to the plot" and "non players won't know what it is.".
So, I spent what little time I did have to myself on listing what I want my classes to be able to equip. Coming up with "defaults" and then "surprises" was tricky, but maybe my classes will be unique enough after this that players will use them differently from each other.
So I'm practicing ITC with a spirit box, and decide to try to contact my deceased soulmate. It actually gave me multiple identifiers. Me, still a bit skeptical, asked aloud "Fine but does he still love me?" and the box spoke and printed the word "Forever" at the same time. Been a mess of tears since.
Been scratching away at my game and making progress, but just had a revelation. I'm working in full screen and adjusting all my pictures accordingly, but will they resize if someone's screen is smaller?? I hope this doesn't turn out to be a problem later.
