  • Who wants to solve a riddle from my game?

@Tanarex is that request itself a riddle?
.... I mean, if your game is a horror game, the *who* is very much *probably not the main character* as one would imagine what happens to them when they do.

My brother thinks i's too short and doesn't give enough info. I'll add more if no one can guess it. Send me a PM with your guess unless you want to ruin the chance of anyone else chance by posting it here. The answer is 1 word. 9 letters. Riddle: I am the Intruder. My announcement only comes after I have left.
So I'm trying to make a bestiary list for all the creature classes but I'm stuck with 2 animals that don't really fit. Rats and bats. One can fly. The other can't. One weak to fire. One weak to wind.

Bees are definitely not pests tho lmao. You can call them critters, small creatures or whatever.

Critters and small creatures are too general of a term. It could mean anything.

Mabey? What is nocturnals for bats and rodents in my experience.
So I just watched the movie Eternals. Kumail Nanjiani got all bulked up to play this role. And what Super Power did he have for all those muscles? The power of Finger Guns. Yep. Point at things and go pew pew.
So this flat Earther named Mike Hughes build his own rocket to prove that the Earth was flat. But on liftoff he still had the ladder he climbed up to the rocket laying against it. Needless to say things didn't go as planned.

@EidolonDreams That's always been my general impression of flat earthers, sure if you look hard enough you might be able to find someone somewhere who genuinely believes in the stuff (maybe) but I just can't buy that this big movement based on the idea that the earth is flat and floating on the back of a giant turtle is really a legitimate thing
    Philosophus Vagus

that people actually have personal convictions in (I mean it is mostly fake history that people thought earth was flat even in Columbus's day ffs) rather than just a bunch of people making shock jock absurdist content for internet attention. Hell of a thing to die for regardless of whether or not he believed it though

@Philosophus Vagus You can look up Inside a Flat Earth Conference on youtube. Actually, the World on a turtle's back is Hindu mythology, Chinese mythology, Native American mythology, and of course, Disk World. Nothing about Flat Earthers. Back in Columbus's day they already knew the world was round. It was discovered by the ancient Greek Aristotle around 350 BC.
So the Fire alarm went off 3 times in less then a half hour on my building. But my cat is so use to it going off he doesn't even run behind the couch anymore. He is just like, "This again?"

Shared fire alarms across the whole building are the bane of my existence in this apartment, lol. It's always some goof that left something in the toaster or something too at like 2am.

we don't have fire alarms, but I live a couple blocks away from the fire house.
since it doesn't have a full crew 24/7, they use an air siren to summon the rest of the team, so it sounds at least twice a week.
it's specially annoying when the wind blows this way.... I hear it like it's right next to me.
I watched this youtube video of this reporter that went to a Flat Earth Conference. And there was just a whole lot of stupid in one room.

There are so many hilarious things they believe. They believe they use CGI to fake the moon landing back in 1969. They think NASA runs space programs all over the world. Their proof that the earth is flat is water doesn't stick to a plastic stationary ball of the Earth filled with air. Or a spinning one. Congrats. You proved the existence of beach balls. Does anyone else see any problems with this example?
    gstv87
    gstv87
you can disprove the flat Earth with one simple statement: if you were standing atop the Christ Redeemer on Brazil, you should have a clear line of sight to the Everest.
doesn't matter how far apart they are, you should be able to pick up a laser beam or a radio signal.
    you can't.
therefore, they're not in LOS of one another.
    Tanarex
    Tanarex
You can disprove it with lots of statements. Like the Earth isn't full of air. Water doesn't equal gravity. There is no representation of the moon's gravitation pull, the sun, the star, etc.
It's always disturbing to me to see my cat eating something off the bathroom floor.
Maybe I should get rid of the Banish ability in my game. It's a non-elemental spell that doesn't even appear in the magic chart. It's only there because my Elementalist doesn't use light or dark magic. It only effects summoned creatures.

don't underestimate the "WTF!?" factor of a well-placed Banish.
if you have a Banish spell that you can't put anywhere, add a villain that uses golems.
.....but don't add that spell before introducing the golem first!
    Tanarex
    Tanarex
Golems are ok. They would be classified as an Earth Elemental. Not that I have been able to find one. My characters end up gaining a new spell/skill that a boss is weak to a right before a battle. The thing is my spell caster only has Earthly element spells. Wind, fire, water, etc. So it doesn't make sense for him to have Holy-type magic to banish the undead. Or Dark Magic like a necromancer.
    Philosophus Vagus
    Philosophus Vagus
You could simply change the terminology...say call it deconstruct or something and describe it as interfering with whatever energies allow elementals to animate and returning them to natural order so you have the same ability but that fits better in your magic system.
I tried typing in what do bulls hate? It asks did you mean what do Bill Gates? Yeah, because that makes so much more sense. My search engine has the I.Q. of a 4-year-old with brain damage.
I'm trying to figure out a elemental weakness for a minotaur. So far all I know is that he was killed by either a sword, a club or bare hands. Which is no help at all.

I do have both a cooking skill and a mini-game that uses cooking. And about 54 cooking ingredients pulled from medieval history books about cooking. And I mention something about mystery meat, but no, you can't cook a minotaur.

@Magenta-Fantasies Actually, bulls can't see the color red. They are aggroed by the matador cape's movement.
    Eweer
idk how I ended here, but want to say an useless fact: Both the muleta and the capote (official names of the two red capes that are used), are red because it helps mask the ending of the bull fight: the blood splatting into it.
Does anyone think adding Silver to the elemental chart is a good idea? I've seen people add Metal to the list. But unlike the other ones, there is no magic class that uses Silver. I already have Earth as an element. That could have Silver in it. I also have Banish. Which is a non-Elemental Magic. Then there is Ice. Which is just frozen water. So it's kinda like having Dirt and Rock on a list.
My brother's b-day was on May 5 and he was whining about a slightly used laptop that I gave him for free. He said it kept crashing. So I told him I won this new lap top and was willing to give it to him. He took one look at it and said, "I don't know how to use that." You think I was giving him a tricorder.

What kind of idiot refuses a brand new free computer? But he'd rather have a CD from a band made back in 1984. That's worth about $6. So now he gets nothing. Not out of spite. I just kinda forgot he wanted a CD. I haven't seen him since last month. Our mom dropped off his half-eaten cake here. I'll prolly finish that off before he shows up. Told him it was here. So it will be his own fault.

Would the Grim Reaper be classified as a Elemental creature? He is not demonic. Anymore more then a elemental of life is angelic.
    gstv87
    gstv87
    technically Angelical or Spiritual.
it's a subordinate of the God/ess of Death or the Underworld.
any subordinate of a God, is technically an Angel.

a Greek mythic Titan would be elemental: primal, element-based creature.

According to Bill and Ted lore, he is classified as a bassist.

I have Angelic as a classification. Spiritual sounds too benign. I'm gonna have to fix the Bestiary. I had added Aquatic as a class. Then discovered the only one that fits is a jellyfish. No piranha, no sharks, no octopuses, no clams, no stingrays, no urchins, no crabs, no eels, no sea turtles. Nope. Just jellyfish.
Guess I'll have to look up each individual color in the windows png to get their names. Trying to figure out if something is 'baby blue' or 'baby blue eyes'. Sounds like a lot of fun.
So I'm working on a weapon type book. But I can't find a good word for creatures that are neither strong or weak against a certain weapon type. All I got so far is neutral. Which is terrible. Neutral? What are they Swiss?
Anyone know where I can find letter fonts? I thought it was called coolletters but now I don't know.

Well, after giving up on one script. I tried to replace it with another. And that didn't work either. So I give up.
Ok so I have a elemental chart. Tell me if this seems logical. Lightning beats Water. Water beats Fire. Fire beats Wind. Winds beats Earth. Earth beats lightning.
    Drakkonis
    Drakkonis
Granted, the strength and duration of the wind compared to the strength and size of the fire IS highly relevant.
    gstv87

    Lightning > Wind > Water > Fire > Earth > Lightning.
the crack of lightning literally cuts air in half.... that's how and why you hear the thunder.
    Tanarex
    Tanarex
Well, you can't actually cut air. 'This causes the air to expand rapidly and creates the sound wave we hear as thunder.' One doesn't cancel out the other. It just affects it in some way.

What if the Actor Battlers disappeared when your selecting enemies...

So, last chance to get RPG Maker Fes games?
That moment when you significantly rewrite about 80% of a course, reduce it from 12 hours to 8, drastically refocus the content, provide several overview briefings to staff on the changes, giving them several weeks to prepare, & they start asking questions 10 minutes before the classes start. I have a bad feeling.
Forgot to add this to my stream thumbnail collection, nothing to see here. Move along. :kaoswt:

It's been a while again, eh.
