Started mapping today! Tell me, friends: is fire companies selling pre-cut Christmas trees a uniquely New England phenomenon? I always thought this was a common thing, but I realized as I made the tree racks that that may in fact not be the case!
Does anyone know of a word processor that has a dark mode? The light in my house isn't great once the sun goes down, and it would nice to not have to stop writing at sunset because the page was too bright to look at even with my screen brightness way down.
What happened with the contest deadline? It says it's open until midnight PDT, but they closed it at midnight EDT?? I've been working so hard between my mandatory overtime trying to finish mine...I'm really disappointed.
My boss was Today Years Old when she found out my degree was in game design, and I could feel her respect for me drop like a rock. The absolutely derisive tone in which she asked "there are schools for that?" was knife-like. Been a while since I got a look like that, it hurt. Nobody knows better than me how useless my degree was, boss, I promise.
Just when I thought I'd accounted for everything lost in last year's hard drive wipe, two WIPs are missing. Argh. I wish my brain had a ctl+F, I swear I've seen them recently. Wishful thinking? I can work backwards from the flat versions that survived, but it would have been SO EASY if I had the document with layers...
Save your projects, folks. Save your projects. In several places. Often.
Just lost my design doc in a backup accident and I'm absolutely gutted. I'm trying so hard not to feel like "oh well, it wasn't that good of an idea anyways." I don't know what to do. I can't even look at a flash drive without starting to cry, how am I supposed to start rebuilding what I lost like that?
It's going to take ages to put the credits list back together. What if I can't find them again?
I've been watching videos about the videogame streamer Open Hand charity scandal, and the rabbit hole keeps getting deeper. At first it was just a lot of donated money being grossly neglected for years, and now there's a lot of money unaccounted for, which could turn this into a legitimate IRS crackdown.
I've been thinking about doing a jokey submission for the Christmas jam in which, like a cartoon special where all the characters "play" a counterpart in A Christmas Carol, my MagiCats would each play a role from the C.A. Smith story The Coming of the White Worm, with Cyprian as Evagh, Rousalie as Dooni and so forth. But in the end, I figure all my development efforts should go toward the game proper.
