creating a great big visual "spreadsheet" of all the guns/ammo in my game, trying to sync up battle sprites and icons as best I can, because it was becoming a real mess. (this is a result of my having finally found a way to display ammo in combat that works for me)
Just found an obviously custom effect (i.e. edited by me) in my resources>sounds folder called "rip jaw off". Dear Lord what is wrong with me as a person that at some point I needed a sound *specifically* for THAT??
so like with the whole 'familiarity breeds contempt thingy', how are you supposed to tell if your title screen/battle music gets really tedious after a few dozen plays or if you're just personally hella sick of it?
it's really vexing when a plugin fails to work for no reason at all, like not even the fault of the plugin. I miss the spirit of self sufficiency of the old days when you'd just be like "screw it I'll event it myself". in the era of easy plugin access that seems so inefficient, even wasteful.

so for years I've thought the japanese word "omae" was informal slang for "friend", "pal", "buddy", "dawg", "my (n-word") etc and I just found out it's a rude word for "you", apparently & considered offensive! TMYK
Playing one of the two RM2k3 games I was best known for back in the day, one I made in the Spring semester of my Freshmen year in college like 15 years ago, feeling all kinds of ways about it. I have not played this game in WELL over 10 years. I feel a million years old RN.
