You never want to point out someone's faults to them while they are upset. That will only add fuel to the fire so to speak. Instead, you should try to empathize and possibly offer help if you're able to. The priority should always be safety though.

Also, Flu is hard to vaccinate against as it mutates fast. The best they can do is immunize you against the latest strains, which helps but isn't perfect.

Its definitely padding. Especially since if you weren't hit by the bug then you probably would have hit it before you got to it anyway, making it pointless.

Like I said though, its rough, its buggy, but the gameplay is so good it doesn't really matter much.

Though, I do think that actually one of the reasons that the requirements exist is that it makes people actually engage with freeplay. Freeplay is a lot of content in the game, with the world events and such going on, and the only way you wouldn't have hit all the requirements is if you were just rushing missions.

It's well written and a good article. When I think of bosses I always try to make it so they're incredibly smart and difficuly, but in the long run. there is a strategy of some sort that wins. That is how you design a good monster the player will enjoy.

Honestly, ff7 was the same, move forward. The Golden Saucer didn't even open up until a ways in the game (disc 2 or very late disc 1, can't recall which).

Maybe though that is one of the reasons I didn't mind FFXIII that much, as I never considered FF games those with a lot to do or side stuff, but instead play for the story and mechanics.

Of course, sometimes they got the mechanics wrong *cough* ff8 *cough*, but I still like 8 as the story on discs 1 and 2 made up for it in my opinion.

Of course, I'll admit on disc 3 of ff8 I feel like they took any idea they had and threw them in a blender and hit blend, but that's another debate.

That's something they got right in Mankind Divided. There was only one boss (Marchenko) who could be defeated by simply throwing an EMP grenade his way and then performing a takedown. Still hoping there will be a new Deus Ex game at some point; perhaps even a remake of the original.

I didn't enjoy exploring as much as I did in HR. The setting, Prague, just didn't feel very cyberpunky. I also didn't like the whole oppression theme. It tried so hard to make you sympathise with the augmented, but there's a perfectly good reason why they're now feared and shunned. Some of the side missions are good, though.

Honestly i think i prefer ttrpgs rather than rpgs because it’s easier to make a character based off a your persona or someone or something you’re really not. Immersion with character is all that matters the me. I care somewhat little of story and very little about graphics, that’s why Im very picky and what I play and what I do with my time
