    Haha, I did wonder why you'd commented on it. XD I still have the certifications though!

    And I was still working with Delphi back then, so let's just pretend this conversation was held in 2015 xD
    See, I was going to set up a development blog for my IGMC entry, but unfortunately the central conceit of the game is that in the first minute or so it appears to be something completely different and if people watch me work on it they'll know what the twist is. XD

    I'm just going easy on the screenshots and not talking about story.
    Got spare keys for Luna Engine and Game Character Hub available if anyone needs them.

    Luna's gone too. I have nothing left.
    Most awesome thing ever: working on your IGMC entry with your wife. :) Also Humble Bundle acquired, so I have totally contributed to the prize fund! You're welcome.

    Last year I did my IGMC entry with my loved one. It was very rewarding, fun, and a little bit hair pulling at times. But better for him to deal with me than some helpless other person.

    That IS awesome! Have fun doing it, and remember the journey is every bit as important as the destination.

    I'm doing it with my loved one too! Which is myself ofc
    Question for you all. You've been given a part-time job at a place you used to work, but you have an upcoming interview for a job you'd rather be doing instead, in line with your ideal career. A job offer would be unlikely to come before you've completed a lengthy induction for the other job that's expensive to the company, and if you took the second job you'd essentially be betraying several good friends you made last time you worked there. Would you take it?

    I agree with the other comments. Take the first job, if the second one pans out, fantastic.

    One of my employees took a job with me expecting to get a new job that he'd already applied for within 3 months. That was almost two years ago and he just now got hired and put in his 2-weeks notice.

    You don't want to be unemployed for two years hoping on a maybe, if you've got a definite sitting right there.

    Take the job. Don't ever - EVER - make career decisions based on your friends.

    Pretty much what Celianna said. Also, learn how to not mix personal and professional life, so you'll avoid that kind of troubles in the future. Real friends will go with you wherever you are. ;)
    My god, this is the best half-hour I've ever wasted:

    Looking forward to it. Was born in '79, so I already survived the 80s in their entirety once. ;)
    Woo, I got one of the jobs I applied for!

    The one ksjp is using is from 2014 and doesn't have that, so your solution wouldn't have worked for that particular script, for which I was right in saying it didn't have a merge method. :)

    Deleted my post saying it wouldn't work with the newer script because you're right, it would. Sorry!
    Dialogue From File version 3 is going to be released tomorrow, with some pretty nifty new features!
    So the wordwrap in Dialogue From File is now totally dynamic, so you can use any font size you like and it'll automatically compensate. Just sayin'.

    That's very useful, as I had to do some tricks to make this work with my current script. Good job!
    Not only can you have your dialogue in a text file, the words wrap now too! I'm too good to you people.

    Hope you get a lot of use out of it! If there are any other features you think you'll need or that would be cool, send me a PM and let me know.

    Done!!, This is really amazing though and really helps someone like me who writes nearly all stories as short stories first!

    It'll also help with grammar/localization for some projects I'm helping with that on!! so excited!

    Honestly thought my latest script would get more attention than this. XD Oh well, back to the drawing board.

    Yeah, I thought the same about my movement script, but people who have tried it seem to have liked it, so I get that going for me, which is nice.

    Do I just ask the mods to move the topic for the dialogue script to the completed scripts forum?

    Dialogue from file script now supports multiple languages. I do good things when I can't sleep.
    Major update to my dialogue from file script! It's actually looking fairly decent now. XD

    Hmmm...I'm still trying to figure out how to make it so that a skill category doesn't display in the menu or the battle menu if no skills are learned under that category.

    This edit to add_skill_commands in Window_ActorCommand will do that:

    def add_skill_commands

    @actor.added_skill_types.sort.each do |stype_id|

    if @actor.skills.any? { |skill| skill.stype_id == stype_id }

    name = $data_system.skill_types[stype_id]

    add_command(name, :skill, true, stype_id)

    end

    end

    end

Game Making Every Day #19 :kaosalute:

Screenshot Saturday time ft. Boss Fight!
Well this is annoying... After unplugging my phone from my computer (or any USB, it gets stuck in an infinite loop of system notifications indicating 'USB connected/USB disconnected'. It won't allow the screen to stay off as long as the notifications keep pooping up, so the battery charge is suffering. :\
