    Yeah, I even used the game variable to store string once. They can do all the stuff any other variable can.
    Wrote up a good chunk of game dialogue along with the first quest. Should I program it, or is it better to write the entire game first? Hmm.

    Plan your gamePLAY from start to finish (How the player will play the game from start to finish). Then start programming that. Once you have a playable game, then worry about implementing/fleshing out story.

    Just started actual game development after two weeks of battle system "coding"! Feels good!
    Finished player's turn combat coding! Next up: Enemy's turn combat coding!
    16 pages of code today. 16 tommorow. 16 friday. Amd 16 saturday. And then most likely another 64. I hope VXAce can run 128 pages of code everytime I move a tile.

    Define "page". 1,000 lines is nothing, but 10,000 lines in one frame is too much. Learn to optimize.

    No idea what a "page" might be. I'm using 16 "pages" inside an event and each "page" is a very long list of triggers(?). Unfortunately, events don't have numbered lines so I can't express the quantity of work I'm doing in that manner. And I'm not even sure what vocabulary would best describe triggering(?)/eventing(?). And while I'm not too concerned about VXAce running this event, I've certainly never tried to "event"(?) an entire ba...

    Still trying to figure out whether or not paint can be used to tile edit. The amount of fully alpha'd, messy edged sprite sheets I've collected is starting to give me doubts.

working on the house you explore in the beginning of my game. it's the first major area... part exploration, part battles. just need to script events and setup the on screen enemies.

Accomplished a longstanding goal: transitioned from windowskin graphics to native canvas drawing for windows. No more window.png or resizing individual mask images; Bitmap and Window classes handle it all seamlessly now.
