Whipped up a working version in-game. I think it makes sense. Not sure if this is easy enough for the first time tutorial. In general, I want this to be a lot easier than the example from before.
Saw this puzzle on reddit. I don't think I've seen this kind of logic puzzle before... I really like it. And it would be easy to make in RPG Maker! This example is probably too hard for a mini-game, but it would be easy to tone down. Question: does the puzzle make sense? I think it might have conveyance issues.
Finally got around to customizing the ol' itchio page. Derp. Probably should have done that sooner but I was too worried about everything else I didn't even look at the theme buttons.
Now I just need to add a gameplay video and I can be a real boy...
For a second there I thought my "Is Itch.io worthless?" video was going to be one of my most viewed videos (it is the most viewed "dev log"). People love to hate on itch.io, maybe?
Was trying to look at click-through rate data on Steam to compare it to itch.io. I discovered Oni Sellsword has (already?) 429% more claims this year than last? Not complaining... but WHY:
Ah, whoops. Just realized I forgot to add a tutorial to explain that reloading doesn't cost a turn (it just moves you to the end of the turn order). Not critical, but that's the first item to add for a potential patch, heh.
This nw.js profile error is the stupidest crap ever. What a way to waste hours of dev time trying to fix something that isn't even technically fixable by me.
so, for like the entire duration of me working on my game, I've wanted to see how possible it is to make SOME kind of turn based team fighting game and if I can pull off what's in my notes, I think I'll be satisfied.
