It's a special type of tree (a way to store information) where each cell will have a list of objects at least partially inside it. This is the foundation of a collision system I'm working on. It shouldn't be too much more work to get it functional.

Dam, I did something pretty similar (I used events) ¡Nice work, it goes flawlessly, better than my version! I couldn't manage to do the collision system.
So you're in the great hot and wet state of Florida too, huh. I wonder if PubSubs are the only way I've held onto what little sanity I have left after this state had the hottest July on record. (Also tracking to have the 3rd hottest summer on record and 2010 wasn't THAT long ago.) This forum can be a challenge at times.

@Alexander Amnell We get nearly 100% humidity every day in the summer and early fall (until late October) in Florida - it's oppressive.  I can't say how bad it is compared to Alabama, but it's a world and a half different than what you've felt here in "dry season" (but you're not the only one who has only felt it in the winter - we have so many "snowbirds" that head up north as soon as the going gets tough!).  We owe our entire existence here to the saint who invented Air Conditioning. XD

With that being said, despite the searing heat, I call any summer without a hurricane a really good summer!

Interestingly, the very tip of Florida (West Palm Beach, Miami, and southward) are considered Tropical Wet/Dry on the Koppen climate classification - same as much of India, Indonesia, and South America.  It's kind of cool, because the "four seasons" don't really look the same as they do along the rest of the East Coast.

I'm new in Florida too and kind of grateful for this rain even though I'm in my running clothes waiting for the weather to get better.

I am saying exactly that @Shaz. Any restriction on guns is a step closer to a complete gun ban.

Huffington post is biased liberal anti-gun with an agenda, we know it all to well here in America.

Let me link you some video and stats from the NRA in comparison if thats the case.

    https://goo.gl/6e7OgO

    In all

    Armed Robberies increased 69%

    Assault w/guns increased 28%

    Gun Murders increased 19%

    Home Invasions increased 21%

    Since Australia enacted it's ban.

Law-abiding citizens are now bringing fists, to a gun fight.

Criminals and those that want to kill will always find a way to kill.

I don't see how giving criminals an advantage is a good thing.

Thats one side of the coin. Other side. Is government corruption and populace control.

If you take firearms away from the populace you take the power away from the people.

Which lets governments have full reign over their population they govern.

Which leads to tyranny. Why do you think the USA has been a democracy for so long??

Because of nice politicians? No lol. It is because the people hold the power.

Remember this last attack was a terrorist attack.

The moral fabric of society needs worked on not guns.

@Stapleton Couple of things here bother me.

    1. NRA has an agenda that is equally skewed and you are arguing with an actual Australian with access to local grassroots news outlets that are far more likely to be correct than any of the biased bs you could find in America, on either side of the news spectrum.

    2. Guns making the United States a democracy would be a neat trick, considering that the U.S. is not and has not ever really been a democracy.

    3. How exactly do semi-automatic pistols and rifles equate to the people holding the power in the United States? Think about it for a moment, really think about it. Drones, APC, Ceramic Armors and the like would easily render any kind of actual armed resistance in the U.S. as a complete disaster. The guns do help, but it's the onerous system of checks and balances that permeate our legislative body that used to grant the people that power. That's gone now, and instead we allow individual judges to dictate their own laws from the bench...and while our founding fathers did include the second amendment as a final stopgap countermeasure for that, technology has outpaced us and vastly diminished that threat already, to the point where the argument no longer holds water.

I actually agree with your main points but the above rant is not helping anyone with it's faulty rhetoric. If America is ever going to actually cut out the rot from our political sphere and work towards fixing the mess we've made of our economy, education system and culture we'll have to do it by coming together as Americans rather than to allow corrupt political influences to continue dividing us into as many groups and labels as they can come up with and then pitting each of those groups against each other. Revolution through force is no longer feasible, nor is it even preferable for that matter. Get informed, make sure your facts are as correct as you can make them but try to limit your biases because their is no left or right in American Politics today, It's the people vs. corruption.

A revolution will only come when enough Americans get off of the sidelines and finally say enough is enough. Until that happens, all the policy in the world will continue to be pointless, these jackasses have the nerve to sit up there in the safety of the capital surrounded by armed protectors and dictate to us while refusing to perform the most basic requirements of their 'civil service' positions such as making budgets, participating in the process (do you know how many people in our senate have made a career out of voting 'present' throughout most sessions?) or reading bills before passing them as law?! It's the apathy of the general populace that is to blame, until we treat that apathy things will only get worse, no matter which side pretends it's in charge.

P.S, I'm actually done this time, turned my notifications off and everything, I don't know why I keep letting myself come back here.

    1. Just quickly to say, I added NRA because Huffington Post is an American news outlet. She didn't link me to Australian news so I figured why isn't NRA considered equally credible?

    2. USA is not a republic anymore by definition.. It was founded a republic but it is closer tied to democracy, although it isn't even really worth the discussion of differences.

It's one or the other and the power of the people in both protect it from becoming otherwise.

An armed resistance, even today, is much more effective than an unarmed resistance.

Though I agree with pretty much everything you said, to declare my points faulty rhetoric when I pretty much said everything you said, but in a simplified form, is kinda ignorant.
So my phone decided that A. I needed to use my backup password when my phone restarts, instead of the regular fingerprint, and B. that my backup password is incorrect. Now I get to decide which ****ty way I get to use to break into my own cell phone  :stare: :stare: :headshake:
I love the whole pinata pun thing, even on the logo on the top left, but since it makes it look like pinata Maker, maybe change the subtext next year to "Make your own pinata-playing games"

uuuuuugh, ****. Was working on a recursive function that tries to clear a folder, and it was too broken and was infinitely going to the folder above, deleting things. I have lost quite a lot of files. Thank god I expected something stupid like this to happen, and made a full backup yesterday. Life would have SUCKED if I didn't.

Nah, I was using Node.js' file controls, and they permanently remove the file, so no way to get it back without recovery software, but I've already been making edits so all that information has probably gotten corrupted. This does, however, bring up a good point that I should make a flashdrive with portable recovery software. I have a looooooot of flash drives.

I know exactly what you were thinking! "Man, I wish http://mvplugins.com/ profiles were better..." Well now they are! I've spent the last few days working on them, and those changes have just been uploaded! Take a look around, and check the about page for a changelog!

It's mostly done, I just need to add a few more things and clean up some of the code. Rather than manually input about 3.5 thousand functions into a database, I had it split along '};' and then piece together the function's definitaion and code. As a result, some things are a little bit messed up (like you can see everything has about 2 lines of empty space in the beginning), but for the most part it saved me probably a week of mindless data-entry.

    It's all stor...
    Zalerinian

It's all stored in my database and each page is created based on that data, so it'll be easy to change stuff when/as needed.

However, due to time constraints I'm going to have to release it incomplete, but allow people to submit documentation that they feel fits the function, and then every once in a while I'll have to check in the database and accept/modify the suggestions. It's not the best system, really, but it's better than what we've got right now.

After working daily with MV's code, creating plugins and planning plugin standards, I need a break. I'm going to try to stay away from coding and the forums until Nov 1st. See you wonderful people then~
