my battle system is REALLY coming together. I can already see strategies between 2 of my party members forming lol. helps that battles are 2 at a time. but the combo of these two is really fun.

I've been struggling again about front view versus side as front allows me to honestly do more because I have to make less assets. but most don't care for front view. I might post pics of both to see what people prefer... tho I'm heavily leaning on front just to be able to add more characters.
knowing little things goes a long way. my characters do evade motions even if it's a miss and not an evade. audio manager let's me play a "danger" sound when someone's health is at a certain point. and I added a motion to set called intro and now it plays at the start of battles instead of walk.
welp I started on my menu yesterday... It's not done but it's a start.
I might need to invest in a new laptop soon... my current gpu/cpu are having some issues...
so, I updated my pixi stuff for MV and whoooo does it run better. BUT, some pixi filters won't work now. I'm wondering if there's a way to fix that...
it's been... a year. other than oddly meeting my girlfriend and working on my game, it's been one anxiety issue after another. but I'm still here. and I'm thankful for it. here's to next year starting the "healing" process of sorts.
I wish I had the patience to give my enemy battlers animations outside of their stance. but grief it's taken me over a year to finish just 3 characters. Question, where do you go to post a general question about a game... like I wanna ask about since I'm not animating enemies, if I should just do frontview.
my first game was "the chair game". It had you trying to dodge an enemy to get to the chair. he stalked you around the room. touch him and you'd explode. touch the chair and it'd moo... then you'd explode. my friend played it not knowing it was a joke... he wasn't happy.

I woke up a touch early and was going to draw by the fireplace until it’s a more appropriate noise-making time, but I left my stylus AND my glasses (WHAT?!) upstairs and it’s just too cold to get out of the blanket now.
Made some simple samples with the Time Reversal Mechanic. It would be interesting to make a bigger puzzle where you could dynamically choose which elements are affected by the time reverse. But if there's much more than move routes and waits, it's starts to get too annoying for my brain Like even that exploding bomb was such a bother.

Well... some good news from Kanori, actually... My interest in getting into aviation has been reignited by a wonderful story of a 14 year girl who made a cross country journey in an ultralight aircraft. Too many details to list, but the gist is I don't need to go through $15,000 worth of training to fly such an aircraft. I will need to thank her if I ever meet her at any airshows, etc.
