did this tonight and used Juice FX to animate it... but it's not quite how I want it to look, so I might redo it tomorrow after some MUCH needed sleep.
Redid the title screen a bit. Made the title larger and added Insert Coin. when you hit a button, the word Panic appears over insert coin and a little jingle plays. wanted it to be like old arcade games.
since I have a LOT of fighting game stuff going on with my game, there's win quotes after fights... here's one of them. Diana is referring to an enemy who uses a staff that has a Sega Saturn like controller on the end of it.
I probably won't be awake long enough to see an answer but, where would I make a post asking people who's games run at a smooth 60 fps, what their computer's stats are? I wanna ask, but I have NO idea where a post like that goes...
did a decent revamp of my skills/mechanics in battle and here's a video of it. when stunned, you can knock enemies airborne and even extend their air time with certain attacks.
2 of the actual original enemies I've drawn. Most are me redrawing Aekashic's enemies to fit my style. but these 2 are completely original. I should try to do that more often.
had a lag spike in TWO specific spots on a map. got rid of it and used a map I had just finished in it's place. it's actually bigger, BUT no lag spikes at all lol. wth is this engine sometimes lol.
here's a quick animation of one of the most important characters in my game. during the duration of Panic Attack, you'll be inside her subconscious fighting in the Panic or Perish tournament trying to collect her most important memories.
thanks to the forums and youtube... I can push rocks with a shoulder tackle that's tied to a button. cool thing is any event with Self Switch A can be effected. so some NPC's react as well.
my game went through a few frontview phases before I finally streamlined my sprite drawing process for my characters. now everything looks like the last shot.
today was really fun, trying to find ways to take fighting game mechanics and give them an rpg like twist. my battle system is REALLY coming to life now.
one of the hardest parts of assets is when I need RTP assets to match my art because I don't know how to make said asset on my own. time to research water/lava tiles.
Whoever decided that the 5th area of Xenoblade 3 had to be THAT big and be explored in the manner it does needs to be shot. My OCD cannot leave a tiny shard of the map hidden and those controls can go right on and f*** themselves. -.-
