I like realism but sometimes it can be taken too far and makes the game dull.
I would get along with the former more than the latter. Why does every game these days have to have to have some heavy, life altering meaning behind it? Why can't an rpg just be fun without having to put a curse word or other dissonant event here and there?

When I am talking about the realistic element in a story, I mean a plot twist. It does not have a serious or depressing event, but it has to make sense.
Sometimes, it is hard to justify the events that have mutually exclusive.
The main purpose of any games is to be enjoyable. However, it needs to be instinctive from others game.
Could a light-hearted story have a battle?
