I like realism but sometimes it can be taken too far and makes the game dull.

I would get along with the former more than the latter. Why does every game these days have to have to have some heavy, life altering meaning behind it? Why can't an rpg just be fun without having to put a curse word or other dissonant event here and there?

@FleshToDust and @Mystic_Enigma, I agree with both of you.
When I am talking about the realistic element in a story, I mean a plot twist. It does not have a serious or depressing event, but it has to make sense.
Sometimes, it is hard to justify the events that have mutually exclusive.

Your damage formula will be permanently changed for the rest of the game. Until you reset your game, it will be reset back to what it originally was.
