Mind you--this was my first thought as I just woke up...
One of my favorite meals for dinner.
Breakfast at any time of day to be honest. Can't go wrong with eggs and bacon or a bowl of the really good cereal.
I'd eat pancakes anytime.
Pancakes, grits, eggs and bacon yes, I think anytime for any of those. Cereal I do happen to have at random times haha. I blame college for that.
One of the cheapest meals to make. You're not the only one.
I also like taking breakfast for diner. I do enjoy croissant, eggs, sausage for diner (but that's just the french part of me).
Don't forget about second breakfasts!
Second breakfasts?--now I am intrigued. Please, continue.
Pretty sure I'm part Hobbit... yeah.
Haha, great minds, Stranger!
Posted it at the same time. xD
Breakfast for dinner is amazing, plus some breakfast foods I can't actually eat in the morning (like pancakes) because sweet stuff on my stomach upsets it. ...now I kind of want bacon and pancakes.
Ahhh!! Okay! I get it now... don't shoot me, but I have never seen any of those movies. hee hee
@synchronicity You and me both--just reading all the messages on here has been making me hungry for the past few hours. Been drinking water instead hee hee.
BTW: @BadLittleSeed and @The Stranger y'all are awesome hahaha! Quick as a bullet, you two.
Yeah, I can't eat most things when I first wake up. I can't even stomach cereal in the mornings, so I usually just have something to drink, and perhaps a piece of fruit. I tend to eat properly an hour or so later.
@samkfj You haven't seen Lord of the Rings?
Normally--I do the same, I'll eat something small once am at work like a granola bar or some toast with an egg.
And no! I've never seen any of them! Nor the Hobbit or any other spinoffs. I remember confusing LOTR with Pirates of the Carribbean once only because I remembered Orlando Bloom was in both. There's really--no reason why I haven't.
If you get a chance, definitely check the movies out - and, I'm actually the same way with eating in the morning. Cold milk on a warm, empty stomach? No bueno.
No bueno, indeed. I also recently discovered that you shouldn't drink orange juice right after brushing your teeth. Was terror upon my mouth.
Oh God. That must've been a nasty experience. xD Eating or drinking most things after brushing your teeth is horrible.
...OJ after brushing teeth. Okay, yeah. I just gagged.
Am not one for OJ--ever, but that day I wanted some... was terrible. Saw my life flash before my eyes--never again.
Nothing like a mouth full of bitter tasting chemicals in the morning.
Y'know--there's a British foods store out here. They used to sell black pudding. I fell in love with the stuff. I should go sometime and get some! Reminds me of days long past. Went well with toast and eggs.
Black pudding is okay. Some people are put off by the fact that it's made mostly out of blood.
It's made--out of blood?..
y'know what--I'll let memories be memories.
Yep. Pig's blood is one of the main ingredients. You can probably buy vegetarian versions nowadays, though.
I never knew that. See the girl I was dating would just feed me I never asked questions haha.
I went to Ireland a while back, tried some black pudding for the hell of it. They have white pudding as well.
Wait a minute... If black pudding is made of blood... What is white pudding made of? Do I wanna know?
Thread of the day. Congrats.
I recently watched all of those movies- The Extended versions. If you get the chance, just watch those. But hell if your curious about the movies, Fellowship is on Netflix.
Not blood. I think it's made mostly out of fat, cereal\oats, and other such things. Black pudding is made from blood, oats\cereal and fat.
White pudding is made from Unicorn blood, dude.
Maybe I sound watch them then. I'll need a good--what maybe ten hours?
@samkfj, I eat opposite from you. I eat dinner meal in a breafest time.
That's what I also normally do. As my day begins at 1pm. Generally.
I used to work a night job (before the stroke) and so, I was used to waking up around 8:30 p.m., eating dinner, going into the job, then coming home to eat breakfast and then go to bed. So eating breakfast at night- not a big deal for me. Check, sometimes for break, I'd go and eat some microwave breakfast sandwiches.
There's just something comforting about a nice breakfast meal. Reminds me of being little--and having it at night, just reaffirms that feeling of youth and watching the sun come up.
