What's next? Accusing some artists for copying a skin tone, and body anatomy?
Simple solution. Use azure people. Nobody uses them.
You'd better not have ripped my hairstyle off. I'll sue you if you have.
@Poryg There are Azure ppl from Avatar movie. So it won't be "original"
@The Stranger depends on what your hairstyle is, I've probably crossed that line long ago
I saw this really often myself, not only with hairstyles. Its one of the reasons I oppose this copyright nonsense in its current state, especially since many are **** like in the case you mentioned and know nothing. These false accusements can really damage an artists reputation (especially a new one), even after they are withdrawn.
Unstyled long brown hair. Gets kinda curly and tangled when not brushed. You'll be hearing from my solicitor if you've ever used such a generic hairstyle.
@Lornsteyn Those features are literally being used/seen everyday in daily life basis. It feels like these kind of accusers never leave their own nests, or ran out of reasons to start a drama.
@The Stranger Yep. I'm going to the copyright court.
Avatars are blue, not azure, don't worry
@Poryg what if someone magically appears and accussed me of copyright?
Kick them in the head. This way they'll accuse you of assault instead.
I can't do that. Who's gonna feed my cat when if I went to jail?
Do it somewhere where there's no CCTV and no witnesses... And be careful to not leave any visible marks... And you're safe.
That's alot of effort. I'll probably just lay there, and watch youtube.
To everyone, I'm offering my legal services to anyone who wants to sue someone.
On a more serious note, plagiarism is something a lot more serious in science, but in the art world, artist being inspired by other works is very common and totally fine (as long as they don't copy/paste that other work).
Yeah. Our teacher of music lessons once made a joke that we should sue Turkey, because their national anthem is a ripoff of one of Dvorak's melodies.
lol. Honestly there are tons of music that were inspired by other tunes. A lot of pop song for example literally just take the melody from some classical work.
@MushroomCake28 You know, you can tell about an artist based on his/her fans. I've seen artists who are as toxic as their fans.
I remember back then when an artist accussed one of their fans for copying their artwork when all they did was innocently showing their appreciation.
Really... that's sad.
Yea. . Imagine drawing your fav artist's work in your artstyle, then show it to them only to get accussed and bullied by the same artist AND their followers. It was heartbreaking to read their comments.
It would've been stealing IF that fan posted their work without showing it to the artist.
I'm goin to admit my sins
