Honestly I'm thinking I might just switch from entirely custom stuff to the RTP, since its actually more able to meet the Science-Fantasy aesthetic I'm looking for.

Do it! I fiddle around with stuff a lot before I make a decision. I'm super indecisive sometimes. Also I just saw your thing says "is Sinistar", I love that game.

Yeah, I'm gonna just mess around with the RTP for a while since I'm on exams and can't afford to do any proper dev right now. If I have something that I like by the end of the semester I'll probably make the switch.

Oh for sure. Don't get me wrong I'll probably release the resources I've made for free or something, so it's not a loss by any means but still.

There's nothing wrong with using the RTP until you've got the game nearly done and swapping it out with new stuff later, as long as everything is in the same place. So if you want to go back to custom again later, it could be an option.

@Sharm Definitely! I'm finding more and more though that my project has devolved into a set of scenes that I want to have, with nothing overarching to connect them and no ideas for how to fix that. I dunno, I'm not sure what to do at this point.

The MZ first look stream was quite good. Looks like we get a lot of generator parts right off the bat this time around. Lots of cool clothes, helmets, facial marks, etc. Looking forward to playing around with it. :)

That moment when you realize your game size without the sound is 51.1 MB.... But with it (unoptimized as it is) it's 156 MB.... I guess it's time to do a bit of sound optimizing. :kaoswt: Also I learned that deployed for Windows it's 308MB... Apparently MV adds a pretty hefty helping of stuff on deployment. :kaoback:

I found some tutorial but they all seem to use an older android studio(2.3.3)? I think the current version is 4.0.1?
is there an updated tutorial or do I need to find a way to get 2.3.3.?
