Pretty much. I'd come home from my other job in a complete daze.
Working two jobs really takes it out of you. I had to do it years ago, back when I first started working, in order to make ends meet. Ended up really ill, physically and mentally, because of it.
Yeah. It wasn't even that I had to or worked a ton of hours there. I just really, really cared about that hospital and that department. But...it ruins my sleep routine and my free time going just four hours a time or two a week. I really felt that this weekend.
I covered a Saturday and the entire time I was just SO upset I wasn't playing piano and gardening.
Maybe you can lend a hand there, or do something else to help them out, when you have some free time. Hope you're feeling better now.
I missed a phone call from a Detroit number last night and I have a feeling it was my manager there going “pls...pls don’t leave. We need you. pls.” Like...I love my colleagues there but that manager. Woof.
