I know you would be bored to tears. I was wondering if it might be interesting to people who don't make plugins, just to see how they're pulled together. Like, I sometimes like watching people make sprites, as it's an interesting process, even though I have no desire to make them myself.
A more serious answer:
Eh, visual drawing is... visual. it is interesting because it's visual. You don't need many contexts/commentaries. What makes it interesting is that the drawing technique they use. Grayscale painting to colorized painting, or splitting parts to make a spine animation, or secretly use the linework layer as shading. You could tell just by looking at it
Scripting though, it probably needs a context, which means, it needs a commentary. Why you do this, and how does that work to make it interesting to watch
Me personally, I am not that much interested in watching other people coding. On the other side, I am interested in seeing some "plugin rules" or "conventions", eg. var Imported = Imported | {} which I saw in most (or all) plugins out there and I'm still not confident with these rules.
I would be interested. Itd be neat to see "how its made" and all that.
I highly disagree with Theo on saying its uninteresting by comparing it to digital art. Apples and Oranges. People have their own coding styles and seeing the result of a code being executed is a satisfying end product (source: watches people code things in Game Maker Studio 2 all the time)
Without some kind of commentary, it might be difficult to watch without skipping around. Though it would probably serve as a solid reference for those looking to learn how to make plugins.
so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most.
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
