I don't get it. You were so hyped about your game and the artist you were working with. What changed? :kaoback:

Its great to work with her, but our recruitment efforts have fallen completely flat. We've also reached outside of the community. Its still just us, and we've been recruiting for a while

Neither of us can map, like at all. But besides that i dont want to do all the js alone anymore. And she cant find a pixel artist even in her outer communities

You don't have to be the best mapper in the world you know, sometimes it's just about producing the best you can so that the project goes forward. People really seem to get so caught up in what they dream of, that they aren't satisfied with what they can do. In the website building world, we used to say it's better to have the worst site in the world up, than the best site that never is.

As for the coding, maybe scale back your plans? They sounded pretty ambitious to me, but if you are unable to accomplish the coding alone, they perhaps it's too big of a task. So consider easier to attain plans? Or maybe seek out already made plugins to ease the coding burden. :LZSexcite:

It's funny, in looking at the greatest commercial successes in the community, do you know what I've discovered? They actually built their games to be as close to cookie cutter as possible. Then they just made certain to make it quality. Often times it's really about how quickly/efficiently can you get an idea to market, and not being some weird dreamer like me. :kaoswt:

The model is in modules, anyway, so its not the scale. Im tired of coding alone. And im not willing to settle in any way on maps. I like maps, and ive never worked with a mapper who's maps i liked

As for pixel artists, we cant find anyone available who has abilities either of us are interested in. Its all good, its not like im done RPG Maker forever, just seems like the timing is wrong

I made my own pizza. First critique, more chicken next time.
My pumpkin! Anyone like Fallout?

It's not terrible, but could be better. This thing took me over an hour to carve. :kaophew:

Dad's watching a WWII documentary while I work on some cool assets for my games. I just love RPG Maker!
Also Happy Halloween! Dad's friend won't be coming unfortunately, but Dad will still be taking me to Boxi Park to have some fun tonight! I'll be posting a video on my YouTube channel of the show, and I'll be sure to post a link here.
"Nightmares exist outside of logic and there's little fun to be had in explanations. They're antithetical to the poetry of fear. In a horror story the victim keeps asking why, but there can be no explanation and there shouldn't be one..." - Stephen King
I feel people seek explanation and demand it sometimes in games, but in the horror genre, well, maybe you shouldn't have one. Silent Hill 1 comes to mind...
Managed to implement QSprite.

Always double check your plugin order.
