I wholeheartedly agree that it's more due to how the state of the world is today, something I hadn't considered before. I'd also like to see some numbers tied to how the selfishness is induced, but probably impossible. Thank you for your perspective!

I don't think we are born selfish. It's something that becomes a part of us as we grow up due to influence of society and environment. Simply because it's needed. People have to be selfish so others don't use them. It's a necessary evil to survive in this cruel world. Doesn't apply to everyone though. I've seen some really selfless, caring people in my life.
The Stranger
I think most life is selfish by nature. The more self aware something is, the more selfish it becomes, but everything that lives wants only to survive. Selfishness, the act of putting yourself first, is not inherently bad, and I'd argue it's even needed in moderation. Without that whole "What about me" train of thought, the life of the individual would be so very, very dull and even harmful.

That is ok. I know the rest of the Actor 3 Set...
so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most.

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.

For example, I have a low opinion on humankind's general capacity to be kind to one another or self-sacrificing (though there are always exceptions), but I feel like that's probably more due to the world we live in, rather than any genetic or nature-based stuff.
