True, technically anything can be a RPG, except of course something made in RM.. We've got a tradition you see. Nobody actually makes games in RM, so by proxy RPGs can't be made in it. It's pretty much an unwritten rule, we're only all here to meme in profile posts. Let nobody tell you different.
