usually gameplay get's me in the door honestly, so I wanna see that stuff first. that and overall presentation. I'll explore the story once that other stuff hooks me. and yeah, you don't wanna spoil too much in a trailer. Final Fantasy 15 comes to mind with showing to much in trailers story-wise.

For me, it's gameplay features that convince me whether I'll buy a game or not. Story is pretty much at the bottom of the list of things I look for in games I want to buy.

Where as I'm the opposite of Milennium, story is what will convince me to get a game. The gameplay needs to be at least passable though but I'm in it for the story.

Which just goes to show, what works for one person will not work for another. You wont please everyone.
