Also... she shouldn't quite her day job. I was soooooo sick after eating that burger. Not what I'd expect for $17 from what's normally the best burger place in the city. Also in the last month their price has gone up by $2. Maybe next month when I bother to go again it will at least be more worth it. ._.

It really be like that. Also seriously you bought a $17.00 USD hamburger?!?!? In what state, in what country??

California, US. It included fries and a drink for what it's worth. Also before you think it's silly expensive, a trash burger like a Big Mac from McDonalds with drink and fries will set you back $10-11 in this area. Anything not fastfood will set you back $15+. And if it's a sit down place expect $30+. Also it's not even an expensive part of California. =O

It's not surprising though, besides a hefty sales tax, minimum wage is $13 a hour (it will be $15 in 2023). Add to that us being partially/completely locked down for ten plus months... So most businesses in the area are gone. Prices had to go up to keep places afloat. Back in 2008 the same place was only $10 for a meal.

We rent a house for about $1500 a month. When my husband gets a "meal" from Macca's, it's usually about $15. I can't believe how cheap it is to buy a house over there - anything under 400-grand here needs another hundred or so put into renovations to be half-decent.

It's around $300,000 for a 2-3 bedroom house in the city I'm in. Further south in California it gets a lot more expensive. But realistically it's only around $100,000 to buy a decent house in most of the country. Honestly if I it wasn't for already having a business/life here... I'd have moved ages ago. I might still after the lockdown is over. The area's collapsing pretty hard.

wow, California is even more expensive than New York, which I didn't think was possible. Like a normal meal from a normal fast food place might be $10 after tax, but more often $9.00, $8.00, even $7.00 before coupons. And a fancy burger chain it might be like, $14-15 for a meal.

I haven't been out like AT ALL since August. I wonder if the prices have gone up while I've been locked down. Even at fancy sit-down restaurants and gastropubs, which I used to go to before I was so poor and also when we were allowed to go outside, it was quite rare that a burger meal would be more than $25, often much less!

HOPEFULLY we get a federal minimum wage of $15 long before 2023. Housing in CA sounds about as bad as it is in NY (I was paying $2100 for a two-bedroom in a basement at one point!). I have never in my life been to or even seen a Macca's!

As an economics guy and an investor by trade, I'd say you probably want to look up exactly what raising the minimum wage does economically to an area. I'd go over the economic theory here, but it would take 3892582953 profile posts. What you really want is reduced ability for people to take out loans/use credit.. So they can't buy more than they can afford, and thus the market will be forced

...to keep offering stuff for less until people start buying it.

Unfortunately banks and the Federal Reserve makes a lot of money by people being in debt, and through inflation... (The Federal Reserve is fascinating, and a private company who prints our money). So they're not really incentivized to do that. Essentially you want more buying power, not money that's worth less than before due to inflation.

..of the major old school series that began in the 80s- early 90s, I still haven't beaten 'a' Zelda game. Mario 64 was the first Mario I've beaten. I don't know if I should give that honor to Link to the Past or A Link Between Worlds(I currently own both). Well technically I've haven't beaten a Sonic either (Game Genie doesn't count =P).

Time to add the "headshot" concept into the game so that people may actually aim at the heads when shooting zombies and get massive damage and armor-pen bonus as rewards. :kaojoy:

Worked on a cutscene skip domino effect using Maker Systems' script as the basis. Basically if I have a batch of cutscenes in a row on different maps, now when you skip one cutscene it will skip the entire set. No more spamming X to skip a scene every new map.

Oh and it will work regardless of where you do it from in the set. Convenient!
seems absolutely WILD to me now all the hundreds of hours of work I used to do in 2k(3) over a decade ago with a resolution of 320x240. that seems so insanely TINY now, seemed so normal at the time!
