If you already use a gmail account, I'd recommend Google Drive. You get 15 GB storage for free, more than enough to keep several backups. I just zip up my project, and upload a backup there every so often.

that's a good idea. I use google drive. I think I've just been lazy to empty out what's in there already. But I should be ok to put my project there. thanks for the suggestion. not sure why I forgot about that lol.

I back up my stuff on both an sd card and a thumb drive. I like having a way to take my stuff with me anywhere and any portable storage has a higher chance of failure, so I back things up more than once. Online storage is good too, but weird stuff can mess that up too so I don't trust it exclusively.

hmm good point. I'd better find multiple spots for it in the end of the day just to be on the safe side.

MEGA and Dropbox are also good alternatives if you're looking for a cloud service.
