I dunno, if the maps take like 4 hours each I'd say that's a fairly good clip you're going at.

My maps takes forever to make as well and they are not any way near as impressive as your mapping. So cheer up! There are a lot of people that would give a lot to have your talent (Me included!) :)

Getting anything just right always takes forever. It all looks fantastic though.

This is making me think people spend more than 4 hours on their maps, hah.

To polish them up until you are satisfied with them takes a lot more than 4 hours for me xD

Initial map design, 30 minutes. Touch-ups (polish) per map, about 2-3 days...for me anyway.

Maybe I should stream my map making then, it seems people could use some speed tips if it's taking 3 days for one map D:

To me it feels like I take weeks on a single map. Then I remember, its the stuff I'm doing on that map that takes days, not the actual mapping.

Well, when I polish...I polish. I don't just say "Oh, it's done!". I'm my own worst critic and I always think my maps will look like crap, thus why it takes three days. That and being busy and all that irl. :B

For me, the creation of maps is like the creation of alcohol. There is a lot of waiting, with large breaks in between creation sessions. Eventually, the map is distilled to the point where I am happy with the result.

it took me 8 months to make an entire dungeon and half a town i think you're okay

Well that's a little extreme.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
