I'm contemplating working on my game design in public, sharing the documentation that I'm writing somehow. Might be an interesting exercise, considering so many people seem to guard such things.
Sounds like an intriguing concept. What genre of avant-garde were you contemplating? Surrealism, pop-art, etc.? I've been working behind the scenes on a game based on Expressionism (esp. German silent cinema inspired)
It's quite Expressionist, taking place during the Victorian era. In terms of game design or genre, it most closely resembles a visual novel or adventure game (like the LucasArts titles), but with some interesting mechanical quirks.
Victorian expressionism, both theme and design sound quite interesting. I hope you follow through on the exercise you propose!
