Week old eggs peel better.
I know. The problem is there seems to be no such thing as old eggs in my house.
Ha ha! Yes, peeling eggs is like playing roulette.
I always buy two cartons for that reason, one to boil one to use normally.
I've never been a fan of hard boiled eggs... I remember having one once as a kid and being really sick so that's probably why! Now, scrambled eggs on toast - that's my idea of a great snack~
Eggs go fast at my house as well... so many uses eggs have, I've even thought about getting chickens a couple of times, but then I'd have to start a garden... and I don't want to do that yet.
@Vexed Strangely, I almost always get the hiccups when eat them.
@Alexander I'd like to keep chickens sometime in my life but there just isn't the room, sadly.
@mlogan One egg will peel like magic and another will disintegrate into a thousand pieces.
Alleviate that problem by keeping the eggs in cool water for half an hour or so, then take the eggs out... they all but slide out of their brkn shells from being waterlogged.
I usually do that. I don't think I let this batch go long enough under the cold water though.
