Video, hands down, for me.
Written, so then I can go through at my own pace
Written tutorial with a video for demonstration.
Written, written, written.
It's much faster
Written, definitely. With pictures!
Written so that I can go at my own pace and go back easily to a point if I need to. Also, videos emphasise people's accents, and that can make it hard to understand them.
@ksjp: I assumed that the video done properly. You can understand the dub.
@sharm: Yes, written with pics
Written, always. To much tedium pausing/unpausing and buffering... Especially since I don't have good internet connection to begin with.
Video! It helps show the steps better.
Written. I read faster than people speak. Though if a video going through the steps is INCLUDED with the written part, that is the best.
I prefer diagrams/ screenshots with annotations. Otherwise I'd settle more for written, I was the rare few that read game manuals before playing.
Written by far...Easier to follow along with than stopping and starting a video as you go. And reading is faster as Touchfuzzy mentioned.
I mostly prefer written so that I can easily skip the stuff I know and just pay attention to the part I'm having troubles with.
It's pretty obvious we all have different schools of thought on which we think is better and why. That's petty awesome!
Depends on the topic.
I prefer videos. Text can be accessed easier and faster but nothing can surpass the video demonstrations.
Written for me I read insanely fast and videos bore the hell out of me.
Written. It's a must for me if includes codes like scripts too.
