Artists don't trust their clients, well there is a point when client can't trust artists.

Well, thanks to buyer protection I managed to get my money back months ago. I don't think that he is part of any RPG Maker community.

I'm glad you got your money back, but it's still a pain to deal with and have to go through the process of finding another artist. :(

If you got your money back then I wouldn't worry about it too much. Sadly, these sorts of things happen all the time. Usually the artist is avoiding talking out of guilt, not because they wanted to be a jerk about it.

Sharm is absolutely right. My very first commission back in 2012 took several months because I charged $250 for 265+ sound effects.

Eventually things got sorted out but that commission was on my mind almost every day, even though I didn't bring it up with the guy until months after.

This is why I prefer selling assets online. It's easier, and results are delivered immediately.

Well he did hundred of dollars worth art pieces, 25 dollar a piece. I was not one dictating the price, it was what seller was expecting to be paid.

He probably over judged his ability and burned out then. It's really common among those who undercharge, it's one of the reasons to avoid hiring them.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
