It is, yes! It doesn't need to alter the contents of the .rvdata2 files, so it can do its stuff while Ace is open with no problems.

If you have the basic knowledge of Java required to implement Swing things through JRuby... you can write plugins to do anything! But by default, all it does is replace the need for working in that tiny little Notes box. When I release it (probably by Monday or Tuesday, at the latest), it will come with a full PDF user's guide that will explain its capabilities for both scripters and non-scripters.
