Are you people crazy? The author submitted the topic for her game while it was still in development. And that game still is in heavy testing/tweaking/whatever. Heck, on July 14th the game was only ideas thrown around, some test maps being made, etc. It didn't even have a playable copy before July 30th or so.

^What game are you referring to? And rules did clearly state development of any kind before the start of the competition was forbidden.

Huh, what game are you talking about? You do know it was possible to reserve a slot at IGMC's website by making a submission and keeping it private and not adding any pictures/download link etcetera? I have done that for mine.

8 hours? Seriously? I worked on one of my entries for roughly 8-9 hours a day, and we haven't even hit half an hour's worth of playtime yet. :|

Exactly! I've been spending like 10+ hours a day from august 8th until now, and my game is just an hour. And I'm working all by myself, with graphical help from eDeus.

You'll be earlier on the page, obviously. Being on page 5 or page 20 is a big difference in exposure.

There's a bunch of scripts for that on RM that could be useable in the contest already. If this was made in RM I think the only actual holdup would be the actual design process amd not so much putting mechanics together

Unless dungeons were designed to run for like an hour apiece (ie youre padding playtime with really long mazes and lots of encounters), 8 hours of playtime in a month is pretty intense.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
