If you really want it, just DO IT. But you should realize that making games is not easy, and it won't be an easy way. But go on if it's your dream making games. In my situatuion I'm going to study game development, and while I'm using RPG Maker, I'm learning Csharp and how to use Unity.
I'm fine with this. It's teaching me how to enjoy things in the moment, even when they aren't perfect. If you work a little each day to something, you can achieve.
Yup. I'm enjoying this contest I entered whose deadline is soon... It's teaching me to separate the absolutely necessary for a game and how to cut the things I really wanted and focus on the core of the game. Of course, with a full-time job it's a little like being in school again... Go to work, cram game-making in at lunch, go home, do more game making, remember to eat (usually), go to bed late, get up early and do it all again.
Unfortunately, sometimes that's how it goes. But I do know the feeling - I didn't get back into school until I was 28, and 2 years of my 4 of school was making up high school because I dropped out. So, I wasn't in college until I was 30. Most of the people I was in class with were within a couple years of 20. But, I got through it, despite being "old." Just find something you enjoy and go for it.
Are we allowed to post about non-RPG Maker games? And, if so, would any of you be interested in a short, proof of concept type non-euclidian puzzle game?
i can't wait to drink some ice after struggling with my illness in 9 days. 9 days is really bad for me,i can't focus with my shop and even can't do something with my project
