Some people still seem to think you can demand not to be included in photos and films while in public. You're not in the privacy of your own home while out in public. :p People who blow up over trivial ****e like this tend to be overly sensitive. They're usually the same people who state laws and rights which they either don't fully understand, or which simply don't exist.

It was some goofy woman who was like, "I'll take legal action against anyone who posts pictures of my children to facebook, you don't have permission to have them!". Which, I then had to explain, "You have no reasonable expectation of privacy on social media or if they've taken pictures of your children outside of your home. You can't even take legal action against anyone". Some people are freakin' DUMB.

She could always put coats over their heads. That's what people leaving court do to avoid being photographed. xD

Which is silly too, ha ha. Court records are basically public records. And, if you've ever had a picture taken at school as a kid... your picture is now a matter of public record that anyone can look up or even request.

I don't know if these type of laws apply everywhere. I come from a generation before cellphone-insanity and it was illegal to take a picture of someone in public. I find it rude to take pics of strangers. Even if it's legal. :(
But those who grew up in cellphone/camera-at-your-fingertips-24/7 world don't find it weird I suppose.

You sure it was actually illegal to photograph people in public? I don't recall a time where that was ever the case. The only exception I can think of is if you wanted to use the photo of someone else commercially. Imagine it being illegal to film people in public while attempting to record a public event, protest, etc. That way lies madness.

In the UK, it only becomes an issue if you repeatedly photograph the same person without their consent; it becomes harassment at that point. Likewise, you may photograph anything on private land if you can see it from public land. :D You're also not allowed to publish photographs of constables (not PCSOs), soldiers, and a few other people.

You're probably right it was illegal to use the picture commercially. I phrased it terribly. But it still was difficult to take someone's picture as it would be very obvious, so photographing a stranger = creepy weirdo. If someone came up to my face & snapped my pictures for no reason, I'm pretty certain I could sue them.

I'll have to look up the law here. For sure laws change according to social changes. Snapping pictures & recording is so accessible now that I don't see how it could be controlled.
It's still disrespectful to picture someone who is against it, even if it's a friend. Just because I'm in public, it doesn't make me "public property". I'm still an individual with personal rights and my face and body belongs to myself.

Well, being in public does make you public to a degree. :P That's the unwritten agreement you abide by whenever you venture outside. Really, the only thing a stranger can't do to you is cause you harm. That's what @Tai_MT was getting at when he said you have no reasonable expectation of privacy when in public.

You know what's funny about photographs including strangers? The stranger has no ownership over the photograph, it belongs the photographer. xD

I don't have the expectation. But it doesn't mean I agree with it. I think respecting others is important if we want to live socially. And I find picturing people without their consent rude. Like I said, probably because I come from a time where it wasn't common.

Come on you must find that a tad creepy. LOL Just a bit. No?
Not to mention it sounds like we're talking about you all along. You gotta sympathize with The Stranger in all this. Well, I do ;)

Public photography has been fairly common since before the advent of mobile phones, though. I remember a time when people relied on landlines, and the mobiles which did exist didn't have cameras. :p My father loved photography and took loads of pictures, but back then you had to buy actual cameras. I don't see any harm in public photography and filming. I like to see photos as physical memories. :)

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
