Need a lot more than pizza to get through that bs. I still haven't completed it. xD I'm tracking down some diseased aunt or something as a side-quest. There's a lot more wrong with the game than the big, boring, open world.
I'm running a bunch of "shoot everything" quests on an Ice Planet. It's boring, but I want the XP to level up, since enemies give such woefully minimal amounts of XP, that it isn't worth stopping to SHOOT ANYTHING.
The reason it's not capable of killing enemies via running them over is because the dev team was SO PROUD of their mediocre combat with no cover that they designed it that way so you'd have to get out of the car to kill anything.
Then, they decided you'd get XP per "encounter" and not "per enemy". So, not even worth it to shoot random encounters.
Ha-Ha! Proud of their cover based shooting which allows you to sometimes leave cover. I was rarely in a situation where it was wise to leave cover. I really hated those big Remnant destroyer things which would just walk right up to you and keep spawning those irritating flying robots. I generally disliked going into vaults.
I've never really "used" cover. Like, I'll stand behind it, sure, but I don't like do the "snap to cover". Generally, it's more effective to play Mass Effect Andromeda as if you were playing Mass Effect 1. Cover matters enough that you reload behind it, or use it to shield you from a hundred enemies combined fire. Otherwise, it locks you into place and gets you murdered.
I was only able to do that for basic enemy types, but when things such as insanely accurate snipers are thrown into the mix I found it far more difficult. Also, am I the only one who finds it weird that the exiles have somehow adapted to alien environments, and have set up a sophisticated criminal underworld, in such a short space of time and with so little resources?
Nope, I found it weird that most everyone wasn't able to survive on most of the planets. I kept thinking, "You know, in Mass Effect 1, I had level 4 Heat, Cold, and Environmental damage resistant stuff... Most of this is Level 2 at max? How was it hard to create a colony?
Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
