You write good deranged villains. 
It's always good, outside of deranged villains, to have your antagonists be the protagonists of their own stories. Being the villain doesn't always mean being sick and twisted, or even being wrong, it means being at odds with the protagonist. It's why I avoid using the good guy and bad guy labels, because sometimes the protagonist might be more morally wrong than the antagonist.

@TheMutantSpaceDancer He does some very NSFW stuff... and stuff I can't mention on a PG13 website. Think "The Joker" from the Batman Beyond movie where he fights him. That kind of deranged. Except... More adult. He breaks people. Those he can't break, he just outright kills without hesitation or ceremony.

@The Stranger Most of what I write is unhinged sickos. :D People so beyond even popular media evil that if you kill them, even by turning evil yourself, it's still a Lawful Good thing to do.
I do also write "standard villains" who are their own heroes. But... the dark side calls me frequently. I've played villains most of my life. I'm good at it. :D

Why kick ducks when you can break the spirit and minds of the hero and his/her family and make them regret for all eternity that they ever became a hero? Make them so damaged that their lives are essentially depression spirals they will never recover from? You don't kill heroes, you turn them into villains. You turn them into whimpering civilians.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
