I don't think companies can trademark specific words. They can only trademark names they came up with, e.g. Zelda, or phrases, e.g. 'Final Fantasy'. But not a word like 'epic'.
As @Matseb2611 said, a company can't really trademark a specific word. They can trademark a name (like Apple did with Apple), but not a word (so not 'apple'. Btw. some companies have already tried to trademark some ancient words, but they failed). Bethesda is just being completely stupid here.
In past there used to be a huge conflict in Civilizations (the desk game vs. the pc game), which is why we have Sid Meier's Civilization btw. But there are not that many huge conflicts around trademarked names.
Also, EpicFILE is unique enough. There are millions of names out there, you can't really bother with it anymore, since not too many will remember it anyway.
so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most.
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
