Its a new Sprited Square Enix RPG. I suspect it is some kind of spiritual successor of old saga games. You have 8 characters/stories to play.( thats the reason for the name )

Dont know. What seems to me is that It has some love for nintendo. Even the crappy remakes are done better for nintendo consoles. Search for a video of it. That "2d-hd" really looks nice =)

The writing honestly seems lame and the inconsistent proportions of the environment and characters are honestly bothering me

@Archeia I see what you mean. The environment looks sort of like it's in 3D HD, which really makes the sprites stand out in a bad way.

Am I the only who loves It? lol . Honestly I like it more than fully sprited or 3d models in the style of secret of mana remake or bravely default. The thing that annoys me is the Combat animations that lacks some key frames or dont have any at all sometimes =X

That is ok. I know the rest of the Actor 3 Set...
so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. 
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design...
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
