And that's the complete cutscene, not the one where I had to cut a single scene to fit it in the five minute frame (the one displayed in youtube). While the cut scene is mainly filler and for laughs, I really wanted to include it as well. Enjoy~
My valentine cutscene is now available on itch.io and you can get the "source code" as well, feel free to check it out!
The game page on itch can be found at:
Also there's a four, five second lag in the beginning of the video due to an event I set up for recording (and not understanding OBS and RMMZ well enough) but I'm too lazy to take a recut. The cutscene's available in downloadable form on my itch.io page, anyways.
You know, I might, and probably will, make a game for the One Map Game Challenge now that Valentine cutscene is done. Already got an idea and some basic work done (these two games are not connected in any way)
Finally had a chance to go through the submitted entries, and... wow! There's a lot of talent in there. Just wanted to say, keep up the good job! I'm willing to see lots of more of those entries, and I'm sure everyone will agree :kaoluv:
Hopefully I'm doing this right, as I have no prior experience on YouTube releases... Anyways, release on Valentine's, yay!
The short story is about our heroine Priscilla who becomes infatuated with Reid after being saved from a group of goblins. Since Priscilla originated from our world, she...
I've spent most of the week making my entry for the Let's Make a Scene Contest and finally reaching the end... Hopefully I can get it up tomorrow!
(current runtime is around 3:30 but I still need to finish the climax, so approx. 4:30). Expect a funny but sweet short cutscene with a twist ending...?
Not sure if this is what you were going after, but it does the trick nevertheless...
First, you must make sure you disable save access when you start a new game (This can be found on the third page of the event commands, under Change Save Access... button). Then you make a save point wherever...
Actually, I'm not sure if you can reduce parameters by a flat amount in states without a plugin as the parameters are calculated in percentages. There might be a plugin that allows you to use a note tag in states to accomplish this, but I cannot think of one right away.
I think the standard boost rates are hardcoded into the engine, but I might be wrong on that front.
But if you want to add a, say, +15% MDF boost, make a state with a trait with a Parameter M.Defense * 115% and use user.addState(ID); where ID stands for the state number that provides the boost...
Number 5 here refers to MDF buff (buff numbers are: 0 for Max HP, 1 for Max MP, 2 for P. Atk, 3 for P. Def, 4 for M. Atk, 5 for M. Def, 6 for Agility and 7 for Luck.
So basically we could also simplify this by setting a 'var buff = 5;' and use user.addBuff(buff, turns) for the same effect but...
Romance isn't my strong point, but I have a few ideas that could probably work. I've hit a writer's block in my main game story anyways, maybe a small distraction like this one can help me get out of it.
Edit: Just to clarify, this is just a cutscene, right? Not capturing actual gameplay...
Are the fields for primary language and primary gamedev tool gone for good? I cannot see them below any posters on the site...
The options are still in our profile settings, so I guess it's just missing from the forum threads (maybe related to missing badges)
Edit: As noted by @caethyril...
I've started working on rpg maker again, and I can see a lot of improvement from when I was 13. I still have a long way to go, but I'm proud that I've gotten this far.

I am using the Nightmare Land pack.
I just can't walk to the store for lunch without walking past people smoking. It not only smells bad, it's probably poisoning me. I'm afraid I'll eventually have to be hospitalized. I can't take another path because there's too much traffic and drivers in the plaza are reckless sometimes. I almost got run over once, even after looking both ways.
