    It may also have been that the skill targeted the entire troop through a common event vs. the skill dealing damage. It still may have to do with an interaction of a script, but that seems to be the root of it for anyone else running into this.

    No you're absolutely right. I was thinking there was some place where you could alter the properties of the variable to prevent it from happening always, but I think in every instance where it changes, just running a check would be a lot better. Thanks!

    Is there any easy way to ensure a variable doesn't become a negative number throughout the course of the game? My thought is to create a parallel common event that just checks if the variable is 0 or less and resets it to 0 if that condition is met but that may be overly complicated? Thanks!

Experimenting with an old 50's style face set. I have done about a dozen variations of face sets for my characters, but am never happy with the results for very long. Different attempts. Second one is the same character as the first image. The third is Ivan, another character entirely.

Making a blue-magic-heavy game is very fun but there's a lot of extra hassle as well. Balancing skills for both enemy and player usage isn't easy.
BTW everyone on staff who made the forum jump, thank-you! This time I am not panicked and lost all rounds.
I'm not searching for bugs, just pleasant surprises, for now on ^^
