No, I personally STRONGLY dislike the chibi style. I love the XP sprite, other than the color palette and definition.

Are you eventing or making a tile set for your counter?
If it's a tile set, got into tools> Database >Tilesets and check the bush, counter and passage settings for the image you're trying to use.
If it's an event, check in it's above or below the character.

I'm being ambitious, and cheaty. I'm reworking existing base game assets along with custom tweaks to create a Victorian era-esque tile set. I'm fighting with the perspective. I don't like the preset tiles restrictive view and am trying to give it a more angled top down view.
The one thing I've always struggled with is creating a story, it halts every single project I've ever worked on. We must be in the twilight zone because I've actually come up with a plot, from beginning to end (it kinda wrote itself). I may very well be on my way to creating my first proper little game, yay!
