So I've been eventing my own menu using the Global Common Events script, and pictures.
The player opens screens by pressing the enter button. But when they open a screen while next to an "action button" trigger event, the event in question will start to run while the player is in the "menu"--...
I went ahead and messed around with that, and it seems like when I set the camera-- it stays in that one position. After I move a few steps it resets back to the center view. I need the camera to move when the player moves & stop when the player stops
What I'm trying to do is have the camera scroll above the player, but move with the player normally. (Essentially just changing the camera position)
(I'm okay with using scripts! I just haven't been able to find any...)
So I want an image to show up, then have an overlay image fade in and out over top of that image. However, I want that to be a parallel process so the player will be able to press a button to fade out both the base image and the overlay image and end the event.
The problem is that the overlay...
hey, im having an issue...
so when the character interacts with the event, an image comes up. i want a transparent image to subtly fade in and out over-top of it
the catch is-- i want it to be a parallel process and have the character be able to exit out of the image
i currently have it...
For your animated character busts, there is a plugin by Rhino called "Animated Bust Plugin" that will do the job just fine. If you would prefer faces there is the "Blinking Faces" plugin by SumRndmDde. Instead of blinking you can set the mouth to open and close if you'd like.
Video cutscenes...
Heyo, in my game there's a curtain in the theatre that I would like to raise into the air. I'm using parallax mapping, and how I'm currently doing it is I have a fixed black picture on the ceiling, that will conceal the curtain as it raises. The curtain is a fixed picture underneath this black...
So I've found a solution to my mouse functionality problem. (I'm using Orange Hudell's instant mouse movement and it works just fine for what I want to do)
All I'm looking for now is a custom cursor image plugin!
@Llareian So, I've commented out that section of the code (I put a # mark behind every line you wrote), and the loading screen is long gone. Except now there is no custom cursor and it seems like nothing has changed... Any ideas?
@Shaz I'm using MV, but the problem is there's a displeasing...
Hi all,
I am in desperate need of a mouse system plugin for MV. Galenmereth made one (Mouse System Ex), but unfortunately, it's outdated by quite a lot-- and prevents you from running the game if active. It doesn't seem like they'll be updating any further, as the last update was a few years...
Hiya papaya
I'm making a game and I'd like to know if there is a basic, picture as command title script. No animations, no fancy ding-dongs, just pictures as the commands instead of a window.
Like this:
If anyone can direct me to a script like this, or put one together for me (as long as it's...
I tried that, but I was soon to find out that it looks weird in contrast to all of the other events that have the actual name box command. They do this weird open/closing thing that I would prefer to keep, so it's copy-pasting time! thanks though u guys
Hey! So I've royally screwed myself over.
Throughout my entire game, I didn't give a character her namebox. And now, upon realizing that she needs a namebox, there are tons of maps and text boxes with her dialogue in it, and it looks a tad overwhelming.
So, I have Galv's Message Busts...
Hey! I would like for someone to make a shaking event/sprite script for RPG Maker Vx Ace... I want it to be a small, controlled shake as if the sprite is shivering? I'm pretty sure this was possible in Wolf RPG Editor.
If you know of any RMVXACE script that does this, please let me know...
I want it to give you an alert that you didn't do it right (after you've put in three ingredients), fade out and then start over with all of the ingredients go back to where they started.
I have a cauldron/mixing minigame and I want the player to have to put the ingredients in the right order. How I have it working is that I have three ingredients (they're 3 events), and when you select an ingredient, a state is inflicted corresponding to that ingredient-- along with another...
Ugh-I HATE this! There's construction going on in my area and because of that my Internet connection is wonky; this site in particular keeps constantly freezing up on me; I can't even barely type a single sentence without the page freezing in the middle of it! I hope this changes soon.
