Could you upload screenshots of the affected skills' Database entries? Which plugins in the VS library are you using? Are you using any plugins that are not made by VisuStella?
As far as I know, there's no way to do that in the engine. There might be a plugin for it, but I don't know. Best to create a new thread for this specific question, as it doesn't quite relate to your original post on states.
Which version of RPG Maker are you using? You can use states to adjust elemental weaknesses, and in MZ, you can use states to alter the Normal Attack element. You can also have all your skills use the Normal Attack element as well. If you do this, it would be best to only use this method to...
What about removing access to the Party Formation command in the main menu (you can do that in the Database). Then you can leave inactive members in the reserve amd they won't display on the map or in battle. Then you can use an event in the in that uses a script call that pushes the Formation...
There are a few plugins that can do this. One notable free one is Visustella MZ's Battle Core. I've found it easy to use and it offers many other features. (You don't have to use them all of course.) Here's the link to their thread...
Can you explain a bit more about what Toggle Skip is and does? Can that be used to let the player skip scenes, or is it more for streamlining playtests?
My guess is that you have the Break Shields plugin active. Check if it's on in the Plugin Manager. If so, turn it off and test again and see if the icon is gone.
The icon itself represents how many "Shields" a battler has. Shields decrease when a battler takes a hit from an element they're weak...
I'm talking about the Visustella Battle Core's notetags, like <JS Pre-Apply>, <JS Pre-Damage>, etc. Where do all these fit into the flow of an action? For example, does the damage popup happen between <JS Pre-Damage> and <JS Post-Damage>? What does <JS Pre-Apply> and <JS Post-Apply> mean? I'd...
In many old-school RPGs, if the entire party is hit by states like Petrified, Sleep, Freeze, etc., then it counts as a loss. How can I replicate this in MZ? I'd prefer to use Visustella plugins where possible to keep things consistent. My guess is to use a JS Notetag, but I have no idea what...
One MacGyver workaround I've used in other situations is to use a program like Audacity (or whatever audio program you use) to generate a looping track of silence and set that as the BGM in the Plugin. No battle BGM at the end that way.

Thank you both for your suggestions. So, my boss's EXP is determined by how "smart" the player was in going through the dungeon. If they were efficient and didn't trigger many traps, they would get a better reward. So, in that sense, yes, the EXP is dynamic based on gameplay...
Hey, is there a way to change the amount of EXP an enemy yields based on a variable? It would be a one-time thing for certain bosses. I know I can do it with eventing after the battle, but I wanted the EXP to show up on the victory screen. I just had the idea of a passive state being temporarily...
Are you changing it in the Battle Test menu? Then, yeah, it'll change it for every Troop that you fight in Battle Test. That doesn't affect what the player sees in the finished product as far as I know. It's just an aesthetic thing for you.
You need the PIXI JS filters plugin. It comes in the 8 Waves Bundle. Put it all the way at the top in the Plugin Manager. Or turn off Bright Effects and Horror Effects. There might be a couple more that use PIXI, but those are the two I know off the top of my head.
I bought MZ when it first came out just two years ago, spent a bunch of money on VisuStella plugins, and now we're getting another new Maker? With a whole new programming language? Come on. I mean, it's cool, don't get me wrong, but...I'm kind of committed to MZ with my project, so I want to try...
Similar to what SomaelCK said, you need loops. If I understand what you want correctly, you want a hidden timer, and at a certain point a prompt appears for the player to press a button. If the player presses the button quick enough, they pass. Too early or late and the fail. Here's how you can...
Love when everythings been fine. So I decide "hey, lets run the prologue events".. why are things now freezing at a point for no reason when nothings changed *flips table*
