i wanted to move all of my game files to my external hard drive before moving to a new computer and i was worried if there was any possible threat of file corruption if i were to move the installation folder from my c drive to an external hard drive. ive already saved a backup of my projects...
a lot of them are just landmarks and arent the actual size that they are on the map. there is a lot of empty space that gets skipped over when traveling around the place, so thats why some things may be spaced out in weird ways. also, i didnt want to talk about every single thing thats on this...
its probably been over a year or so since my last post on this thread. ive made quite a few changes to my world map that i wanna show.
heres the map of Riften with its boarders labeled:
(i wanted to upload a version without the drawings, but the site wouldnt let me for some dumb reason)...
I built my world a ton, actually. Sometimes I think I might’ve over built it at times. So far i indefinitely have mystia and pijami’s arc being chapter 4, and quorra’s arc at chapter 5. Meanwhile, konai’s arc will happen throughout the whole game. He goes from selfish merc to team player over...
i think one problem i have is that i have too many great designs for my characters that i dont want them to go to waste as NPCs. if i were to remove any, it would mess with the aesthetic of my party and being without them wouldn't feel right. ive already had to cut a few characters in the past...
i was gonna do a thing somewhat similar to xenoblade where you will find certain areas in the game where you'll get an interaction with specific characters. doing so will not only develop the characters, but you get free EXP for doing so. also there are 5 chapters in the game and usually they...
I was struggling for a while on how to make the 12 party members for one of my games all feel unique and important, but for some reason, I just can’t think of unique enough personalities and motivations for all of them. People have told me in the past to just get rid of them if I can’t give them...
ive finally decided to get to work with writing down the plot of the first chapter in defenders of riften. idk if this is a good place to post stuff like story details, but im posting it here anyways. just let me know if theres a better place to post stuff like this.
anyways, here are a few...
maybe you should swap nord and tribal elements around. nords have air because of the heavy winds of the north and tribals having earth because shamans and stuff.
i guess you could make an avatar type story in a different cultural setting. like a European avatar or something. like for example: turkish for earth, norse for water, celtic for air, spanish for fire, and whatever middle european nation you want for the elementless...
i made a few changes to my characters post. i decided to change the name sprite to fairy and decided to change olivia's race to a new race i added called "damphyr" which is a half human half vampire race.
I realized recently since my game is still a turn based game, that something like the card game Yomi is a lot closer to what I should try to aim for combat wise. Should also help for those who don't really play fighting games to make things a bit easier to understand. ugh the struggles of trying to show love for my 2 favorite genres in 1 go lol.
Holy crap, it's cold. Our heat went out this morning and the repair guy won't get the part needed to fix it at least until tomorrow. Had to be now of all times, when we have stuff to do all week and it's the coldest night of November so far.
I have invented a new food: soupie!
It is soup-pie! It's what happens when you try to make a pie, and it turns out super gooey and falls apart and you need a spoon to eat it! Soupie! Said like sue-pie. Not soupy - oh just let me eat my sad apple pie
