Hi, RPGMaker Forums,
I've been using Khas's Ultra Lighting, and it's stunning, but I noticed that the lighting doesn't affect the overlay pictures that I'm showing from my parallax maps on the 'Above Player' level. Below are some examples of this:
These are parts of the map that go over the...
Hello! Ive been trying to make a horror theme game for a while now, but I seem to be having some issues with map transferals and lighting. On the outside (before entering the school) I am trying to create a dark scary theme. I've used the tint screen method and I have tried the picture overlay...
A 3D rendering plugin for RPG Maker MV.
Wall tiles (A3 and A4) are transformed into 3D walls, allowing you to easily create 3D maps.
Regions and terrain tags can also be used to control the height of tiles.
The airship will collide with walls if it isn't...
Extra Fogs & Panorama Lock
This is a script that I've used to enhance XP's mapping even further. It allows for an additional fog that is exclusive to the map ID instead of the tileset, plus an additional two fogs: one drawn as a "lightmap" to add lighting effects and one...
I'm using Terrax lighting, and I figured out how I can make it look like a flashlight. Basically I wanna be able to press a key to turn it on, then press the same key to turn it off. I was experimenting with conditional branches but the problem is it only works if I have on as one button, and...
Hello, first say I do not speak English 100%, sorry if there are failures, I'm using the translator.
I am using the MOG Time System plugin because it is the one I like the most to do the day and night cycle. But there is a cinematic that happens at night with a bonfire and looks like this...
I was wondering if there was a way to make the halo of light around a player, sort of similar to how Pokemon games do it.
Like this, except a softer glow, and just a dim background instead of a completely dark one.
I'm still new to using RPG Maker, but I think I've got the hang of how to edit the maps in Photoshop & then import it into VX Ace as an image file (or at least that's what the tutorial I followed said to do). But what I'd like to know is how to add lighting to a scrolling map?
The map I made is...
Hello~ I'm looking for a way to add custom options in the options menu easily. I saw many different plugins that can do this but I didn't either understand them or didn't want to mess with something I had less idea about. Well the thing is, I'm using Khas Ultra lighting. I thought that there...
This plugin will add 1 layer for light sources. You may use event comments or plugin commands to control different type of light sources. Event comments are processed PER page so you can easily control different types of light sources on same event. You may have multiple different...
Hi all , hope this is the right spot to ask for help , I want to be able to use a picture to overlay over the map to add extra lighting like sun beams coming from windows and street lamps shining bright , stuff like that , I'm finding it hard to find the best way to create a picture of right...
Ok! My fellow game devs, I have a challenge for you! So just for context let me explain what I'm trying to do:
Keybind Button Common Events Plugin will make a button press = shoot a projectile event from the player across the screen
Terrax Lighting attached to the projectile event itself...
I'm just starting to work on the graphics of my game and one thing I wanted to include was lighting. I know that there are a few lighting plugins like Khas and Terrax, but I was just wondering before I invest too much time in them, I'd love for anyone who has had hands-on experience...
Can anyone recommend me a lighting plugin? Terrax does not work with my parallax mapping plugins, and when I went looking for Thomas Edison—which seemed perfectly suited to what I'm doing—I found a bunch of broken links.
The main thing I need the lights to do is turn on and off—for example, I...
I am trying to light urns from (Other2). I start with an unlit urn (bottom of Other2 page).
Then, I aquire a candle to light the urns. All goes well, except, the flame on the urn toggles from amber to blue?
Are they not to be used that way?
I did not use any blue flame graphics.
I'm using the Terrax Lighting plugin and wanted to make it so the player only has a light around them if they acquire the
flashlight item. I'd like to make it so its toggled by using the flashlight from the inventory if possible but if not thats fine.
I love Terrax lighting and I got it working the way I like, almost.
I found the flashlight settings to be a bit bright, so I changed the color to something darker to compensate.
I found a color I like, but for some reason the player still glows brightly.
Here are screenshots to...
I've finally gotten to the dungeon-creation part of my project, and it looks like I'm going to go with Terrax Lighting!
I see that there is a player radius setting that is on by default.
The tutorials I have seen recommend turning it off, but I actually like it!
I just don't want it...
I've spent the past few hours coming up with a method for having a dynamic lighting system based on the time of day.
To do this we will need two plugins:
MOGHUNTERS Time System
MOGHUNTERS Time System HUD (optional)
Soulpour777 Thomas Edison Lights
The first thing we are going to do...
I am creating a survival horror in MV and I can't seem to wrap my head around making a flashlight sort of effect (a cone of light that shines in front of the player) using the terrax mapping plugin, in the help it says to use 'Flashlight on 8 12 #FFFFFF 3'
I've tried pasting that code...
I've always dreaded planning for my games so I just didn't plan at all. That... didn't work out after all.
Turns out it can be kind of fun if you keep the scope small and don't take it way too seriously.
