HEX'S HOUSE OF EVENTS AND SUCH! ​

Welcome all to my workshop! This is a place mainly centred around events, but I will also make the GUI for those events. As of the current moment, I also have a spot for character art!

Here is some of my event work.

You've already seen some of my GUI work from my events, but here's some more: some for events and some for scripts.


And lastly, some character art to go along with it.



As you can see, I've been doing this for quite awhile, and I do it frequently. And thanks to @GoodSelf for sacrificing the thread he was going to make so I could make mine.

I will not do major events such as very complicated battle systems or item menus. I will let you know on a per-request basis if it's possible/reasonable.

I can do any game, commercial or not, as long as there is no R-rated content.

Okay, so i'm generating a Christian-based video game, where the players will often interact with the bible. So I wanted a book-style menu to appear when the player clicks on the bible.

Once you click on it, it'll open up a book menu. On the left side there will be different options such as:

Bible Study
Pray
Temptation Index
Disciples.

Then on the right side, there will be a description of the highlighted options. When the option is selected, the page will turn and will bring up the following content.

I do want a GUI, but I haven't fully decided all of the components of the menu just yet.

Alright, so I've checked out the videos, and when I saw the phone event, I was like ".........GENIUS !!!!"
I've decided to add something like it in my second project. It's called "La TrollVenture" (yep, in French for now, I'll think about translation stuff when I'll be done with the games.)
Since written letters are quite an archaic manner of communicating, I thought about adding a phone system.
So, here's how I would like it to work :
-First, I'd like it to be set in one or multiple interchained Common Events, as I would need the system to be versatile (I'll explain why later).
-So, sometimes, a NPC will call you, so the phone must ring, and the usual phone GUI pops up, with the buttons to Accept or Decline the call.
-If you decline, the call is canceled and the game continues
-If you accept, a little screen pops up with a simple background, and a zoomed-in (200%) FaceSet of the two characters are seen. That's one of the reasons why I would want it to be in a Common Event : Let's say that Hero A is called by NPCs B and C, but in a random order, the game doesn't know which one calls first. There must be a way for the event to know whether it's B or C calling the hero. Instead of making separate events for every NPC that can call you, you can just set a variable before the Common Event and the Event will generate the FaceSet depending on the value of the variable. (0 for Unknown Caller, 1 for B, 2 for D, etc...).
-So then, dialogues between the two characters. Still about being versatile, every single dialogue of every single call can be stored in separate Common Events that are chosen depending on the value of another variable (so that's another variable to set). If you find an easier but still versatile system that I'd overlook, don't hesitate to do as you wish. ^^
-I wouldn't be against removing color for the faceset that doesn't speak, if it doesn't rip you off too much.
-When the call ends, it goes back to the map.
-Calls can happen in an automatic way (stepping on a tile, talking to a npc...) or can be triggered randomly when in a certain map. Don't worry too much about those though, I can implement it myself.
-OPTIONAL : It would be cool to have a small box at the top in the "You are being called !" GUI containing the name of the caller. It would be based on the same variable as the Caller's FaceSet, and would allow the player to choose which NPCs they want to talk to, and which ones they want to hang up on. =)
Since I need a screen event, I am also in need of GUI elements :
-The Accept/Decline Call Buttons
-Probably some kind of cursor/highlight thingy so the player can see what option they're selecting.
-OPTIONAL : The box with the name of the Caller in it. (The names would be a picture then (with a center at origin so it can be placed in the center of the box disregarding its length), and would be placed upon the box. I can make the name picture files easily, as long as you can implement 1 or 2 "Template" Names that can be put on the Name Box, just to show me when they are generated.)
-An extremely basic phone interface (Maybe some text saying "iROCK" (That's probably gonna be the name of the phone), some kind of "separation line" between the two callers for added phone effect, feel free to add other stuff if it comes to your mind.)
-OPTIONAL : The Call Screen Background (if you can)
-OPTIONAL (That's a whole lotta optional stuff !) : The Unknown Caller FaceSet ? =3 (Probably just a pitch black person with a question mark on it is enough. xD)
I know this sounds kinda complicated, and I'd understand if you refused. If really this is too much, you can just give me the GUI elements and I'll try to make-do with what I know. xD

Workshop is empty at last. I'll probably be doing some random events for the heck of it very soon. Then I will be posting on here. And an update: I am now open for concept art and pencil drawings. I'll be updating my thread with some examples of this.

NAME OF GAME: Memory "match" (Pairing-Up) Card Game

DESCRIPTION: A flipping and pairing-up card game that has 2 modes and increases difficulty (Number of Cards) every stage.
Mode 1: Time-Limited
If the clock turns zero and the player hasn't flipped and paired all the cards, he loses the mini game.
Mode 2: Turn/Click-Limited
There's only a limited number of turns for flipping and pairing the cards. If the number of turns are all used-up and the player still hasn't finished flipping and pairing all, he loses the mini game.
GUI: Yes~! I'm using a Riot Squad NF Font and I would LOVE a bluegreen/teal color. (The Color on my Mock-Up)
