For Legal Eagle, it's averaging to about 3 hours per day.

A lot, being unemployed at the time gives me plenty of time. Heck I spent 12 hours on a parallax map yesterday. (and i'm still not quite done)
Just decoration, shadows, and lighting left now though.

I would say 2 hours a day. Although its looking like this number will go up this year.

Why feel obligated to keep up? It’s a never ending chore with the only reward being a few minutes of social superiority.

Oh. Unless you’re dating. Then yeah, keep up.

I don't see the link between keeping up with pop culture and dating. :dizzy:
I assume it's more important to have general knowledge (which takes little time to acquire) and then go out and hang with friends.

I have been spending a perhaps unhealthy amount of time working on my game. I've been working on it more than I've been playing other games. And one of my past hobbies - watching anime - I don't even do anymore (though that started before I got super serious about making my game, but I have been considering watching anime but in the end would rather work on my game project).
Making a large game all by yourself eats up time like crazy... I have this stupid worry that if I don't keep up with current pop culture, I'll be left behind - especially when it comes to people making memes and references. Then again, I'm already totally out of the loop, so...
It's just so difficult to keep up. I end up doing what I want to do, regardless of current trends. So I just keep working away on my game, and occasionally play my PS4. That's how I spend my leisure time, at least. Meanwhile, my friends and family and people online are all consuming entertainment, tons and tons of it. Watching movies, TV, anime (especially anime; anime fans keep up with an ungodly amount of shows per season. I just don't understand how they do it), playing a large variety of games. Now that I'm typing this, it's kind of sad how basically no one I know has hobbies outside of consuming entertainment :rswt

Well, how much time do you spend per day, on average, making your game?
I didn't give a straight answer, but I don't have a number. If I had to guess, for me this past half month, it's like 3-4 hours of straight-working without any distractions. :kaoblush:But that might even be 5-6 hours depending on the day.
Funny I envy you. I would love to work on my game more. But I got my wife and kids and they need some love too :) I would say I work on the game once or twice a week for a few hours, to average an hour a day.

It is literally my job. So 8 hours. I used to do 15-20 hour days, but it was wrecking my health...

I'd say most days are 1 hour and a half to 2 hours most. But otherdays can be 1 hour or below so it's difficult, overall I think I just about do the 1-2 hours more than 1 hour so I voted that. If I could've voted two I'd done both, since they're otherwise nearly close.

I just can't seem to focus on it for a longer period. But I'm sure I could in the future, though I'd still probably limit it to 2-3 hours most.

Also, quite a lot of those days where I do spend 1 hour or 1-2 hours, it can be staring at a blank screen with writer's block, or mapping with great patience, plus eventing and inserting dialogue. There can be a lot of those four combinations for me too.

Because of my life I cant spend as much time on my game. I do however always keep my phone handy when I'm not developing so I can add stuff later.

Not enough. 3-4 usually, sometimes 1-2, sometimes none. I'd like to get up to 8. :(

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
