I created a bunch of Underwater Creatures to put in my portfolio, since I won't use them for anything else but to show it off, I thought I could share them with this community. My term are quite easy, just credit me somewhere for those sprites by writing Bukarett, this goes for non-commertials as well as commercials use. I hope you will like these :) , and if you would like me to make more just comment with an idea. I did enjoy the process and couple more sets would boost my future portfolio. Cheers.

Here you can download all of them individually:

These really are fantastic! I love all the little details.

The holes and scars on the sharks really look great. I hope you do more of these :)

Thank you :D , I wasn't sure about those scars on sharks at first, but they did look a bit dull without them. I will be creating more of these at some point, I'm just not sure exactly what kind of theme I want to follow. :)

The stingray is my favorite, but I like them all.
Ah, so that's the name for it! XD English, isn't my first language, although I have lived in US for quite a while now. When I was looking for references for it I couldn't think of an english name, and searched it in polish. I've been meaning to translated it, but somehow it escaped my mind. :) Thank you for the complement and for the new piece of information! :D *sends hugs*

*twitches nervously* No, no, not at all. (;*´Д`)ノ You won!

As for the character, yea I will probably make some. I'm thinking of taking part in 2014 Indie Game Maker Contest, and whether or not to created characters from scratch.  If I'm going to go in that detraction I can share the base with everyone and create some battlers as well!  BD

Bukarett, please avoid double posting, as it is against the forum rules. You can review our forum rules here. Thank you.

You're quite welcome. I'm not a fan of dithering but I still think these are well done. You have overcome my negative bias. :D I think you'll be overwhelmed with requests very quickly.

My little brother said the same thing! :D You are right though! I wasn't really trying to be influence by Pokemon, but somehow I did incorporated the design in them, maybe because they are a similar size to those sprites found in games. I did realized that, just after the completion,  :guffaw:  and Thank you for saying they are great, that means a lot. :)

Very nice~ These would make a great resource pack with more themes included and would be amazing for long rpgs when there are enough of them. It is usually much harder to find side view battlers with enough variety.

And since you asked for ideas, are you thinking of making a compilation? It would be nice to have one based on four elements plus light and dark (since you have already started with a small pack of water related battlers), e.g. water > amphibians, fish - earth > plantoids, beasts - air > flies, birds - fire > wyverns, dragons - light > spirits, angels - dark > demons, undead etc.

Ooooh these are very very nice. I'm not a big fan of dithering either, but admittedly it looks pretty good on some of them, especially the hammerhead. Well done!

I would normally not like dithering too much, but on these it looks pretty nice. Good work Bukarett.

Now give me hug.

Thank you! I really love your idea with the elements, I might just go with it. It is pretty solid and interesting concept! :D I'm going to get right to spiriting whenever I'm finished with my entry to the indie contest, plus I was thinking of creating more mythical creatures in the sets next time and add some to this underwater one as well.

As for the side view, thats the reason I created these ones, because when I was trying to find some,I couldn't. I just love when in games you have a character battler as well as the enemy, and when both of them are pixelated! :D

Thank you so much! :D I have no idea why no one likes dithering so much!? O_O I am extremely flattered that you like these ones though! *hugs* :D

*Gives the BIGGEST hug that have ever existed on this planet...no... in this UNIVERSE!* BD   Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!  :guffaw:

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
