    This thread is to post your goals and progress to making your IGMC entry. It will be up and running the entire time of the IGMC, and will be locked after the deadline has passed.

    Note: If you are not participating in the IGMC, we have a separate October Goals and Progress Thread for that.

    Post away! And remember to motivate each other!

    Well my first goal is to be a part of a team or assemble one. We'd need a thread of recruitment especially for that task within the next few days.

    I've already got my usual go to franchise, but I am willing to do a fresh idea if the right person and material comes along.

    I'm trying to come up with a short story, set in my own universe of games and novels/novellas which I'm currently worldbuilding, for a one-hour game for the contest...:kaoslp:

    Hmm...

    Here's what I got so far...:kaohi:

    A dishwasher who aspires to be a great hero is trying to get some pennies to buy a real sword usable for combat. In his country, sword is very expensive and is almost a sign of nobility. He's been practising and teaching himself swordsmanship with a practise stick and hopes to become a real swordsman whether in his nation's army or in a rangers' guild located not far from the town he's living and working in. One requirement to be a soldier in said army and or ranger in said guild is to possess a weapon of applicant's choice of fighting style to demonstrate combat ability during the interview...:kaophew:

    @bgillisp Can we still encourage and peek a look at the entries and progress of the IGMC here? I am sure glad there is this tread about this as I really wants to see the rules. It is almost secret.

    Hashed out a story idea with some peers and we're going to try and do this thing! Got a discord up, concept art and concept music scavenged up and am more pumped for this project than I should.

    We're each tackling an aspect of the game so at least that's useful.

    At least we managed to agree on a theme and story, so the worst part was completed within a few hours.

    Istoria Progress
    Game: 4% Matt & Maria - Currently setting up scripts and mocking up battler designs
    Art: 3% Ian - Currently sketching character busts.
    Music: 7% Windy - Currently Prototyping Area Themes

    Let's hope school and work won't be the end.

    Cheers to everyone else on this project! Hope you all pull through!

    Since I usually only have around 1 hour a day to work on things I would have to work on my game on my own :kaocry:

    However, I already have the story completely written for the short 1 hour-ish game that I will be making. It'll be a dark game. Both in lack of lighting and story lol.

    It's a good thing I learned enough eventing and how to use the scripts that I will be using.

    I can't wait to see what we all put out!:kaopride:

    @Fireworker Well It will have some elements of horror to it however I really want it to overall have a good story that makes you think after you complete it lol. Something that leaves you thinking even after you play it. And in order to do that I really have to hit the art department really hard to complement the story lol. Not just that but the lighting, cinematography, sounds, and music. I actually feel really happy that this event is motivating me! ~

    I'm not sure if I'm going to make it. I'm still assessing the situation and hopefully in the next week will come to a resolution whether what I want to do is doable or not in the short time notice xD

    Well, I really would like to do this contest, but it is a bad time. So much to do in "real life."
    Plus, just found out about it so have absolutely no idea what game to make.

    This is totally unreasonable. Then again I am a total RPG Maker geek. So what the hell. :kaodes:

    I guess my first goal is to decide on what game to make and go from there.

    A side note, shouldn't this thread be in the IGMC event forum?

    @Fireworker
    it sounds like you have made a good initial push; i am glad, because you will need something spectacular to beat me. ;)

    i don't intend to reveal too much about the plot or the gameplay mechanics to be included in my entry at this time, but this contest is a great reason to move an an idea for a plugin i have had for a while from theory into full-production and make something unique to enter.

    good luck to all who participate.

    I´m so exited about this...:wub
    below is the actual Footage of me right now after the first two couple of coffees,...>_>
    [IMG]
    I already thought of the hole story, the name for it, and how it is going to go down for one hour, but still have to think about the dialogues(which will come up naturally as the story develops), and the map I´m gonna go with placeholders since mapping is by far what I´m most bored to do...>_>
    Below actual footage of me when it comes down to maps...
    [IMG]
    Ok, so I´ve made the sprites for the main chars, with the exception of three... but still have to make all of their faces... Today I´m going to chose the music and search for some resorces...And later also start making the maps...(and mabe a small intro):popcorn:
    Actual footage of me thinking of doing more than I will probably do...>_>

    Have fun everyoneee!...:kiss::kiss::kiss:

    @watermark : There's an IGMC2017 subforum? :o

    Moved there. And see, even I don't know everything about this event yet.

    Good luck everyone!

    I'm part of an amazing team! @Gabrelik, @hiddenone, @futrchamp and me! :kaojoy:
    For now we settled on a theme, a basic idea, which tiles to use, aswell as the main gameplay mechanics! =3
    Oh and what kind of music we'd love to use.
    We also did some quick prototyping for 2 features.

    Next would be additional work on the story and more prototyping!

    Looking forward to all the amazing games that will come out of this!

    No time right now (plus my last one didn't go so well), so I probably won't enter. I know there will be great games, though!

    This is going to be quite a bit of fun, and I'm sure there are going to be some spectacular games when the dust settles. I'm looking forward to seeing all of your entries! Good luck! :D

    My story has somehow morphed into a prequel to another game idea without me even meaning for it to happen. Sigh. Ah well.
