Day 4 - Making soup :3
@Geoff Moore what kind of soup?
Alright, well, I'm done the two main portraits, and presently working on a parallax map (which is taking forever ). My partner, the great cut-scene maker (AKA @Marsigne) will be working on the intro very shortly. As for the tutorials, well, I'll be doing those myself, LOL.
1.) Finished name boxes for all NPC's
2.) Almost finished first quest
Today I hope to wrap up the first one and finish at least one more quest.
Rockweed and marshberries.
Hmm, needs more rockweed...
He so cute!! Standing there making soup >_< I love it!
Day 5- Trying to remember how lining up images works! So, today will be putting in my images and mapping.
Day 5 -
Our storywriter almost finished working on a story.
Basic gameplan done team can now start working on the project.
We got a artist but she is brand new to the rpg maker engine so now looking for another one to help out as well.
slow week tho...
Day 5 Already!?
I think I'm running a little behind. Story ideas done, just writing out the dialogue and sequence of events / working on art assets. Enjoy that placeholder character.
Sooo much amazing progress in here, wow!
Loving all of the progress updates! No doubt there is a serious level of talent in here. Looking good, everyone!
@iVale: Reminds me of those star wars X-Wing pilot suits. (If the yellow parts of the suit were orange)
Currently trying my best to write witty dialog for the key scenes.
It usually takes 3-5 tries till it's good enough.
Hope to get back to making graphics, mapping, eventing and coding tomorrow.
@iVale Aww, looks like I'm out of the top :'[
This is amazing...
So many great stuff you guys are showing.
Not an actual game map, just a test map to see how my assets are coming together.
It advanced faster than I expected, need to fix these tables feet though. Now have a fixed idea of how everything will go, who the main protagonists will be etc. Long time I haven't been that pumped up working on a video game project!
Didn't get much done yesterday because I spent some time with my little sis and sorted through the Humble Bundle stuff I bought (I did write out a list of what I need to get done, though) hoping to get other character graphics put together today and redo the opening to better fit the story. (I have the protagonist pretty much finished; just need to edit a couple more expressions for her)
A minigame for making some extra money.
Hope you get better!
So much progress and so many awesome teams! Good luck everyone.
Currently I am busy with the writing. Hopefully I'll be done tomorrow or the day after, then it's onto mapping and making some sprites.
Waaa! Everything looks so good! I'm so impressed by everyone's work so far! I want to show you all a video of my project or something to show my own progress, but I'm rubbish at that sort of thing. lol. I might make like a picture movie of my cave dungeon, show off how I made it.
Lots and lots of BindPictureToMap for the various high school locations. And a little writing on the character dialogue. My brother-in-law was in town this weekend, and bringing people to Vegas can really get exciting. But it takes a productivity toll as well.
Do it! I for one love seeing what people can come up with/try to make.
Started working on a short horror game with my brother a few days ago. The story is all him, I'm just the one with the experience to piece the whole thing together. Having fun doing it even though horror isn't my thing (his really). My brother came up with a very interesting idea to add a randomness to the victims and killer in the mansion so I've implemented a random event position script and some detection script. It's jarring to teleport back into a room and find the 'NPCs' are in another location. Adds a dash of realism to the game and if all works out well in the scripting field -then our killer will be able to randomly kill off our NPC's at any time. Adds immense replay value.
