Excuse me if this is in the wrong place, but a while back I was browsing in the name of curiosity and someone somewhere meantioned that they made some 3D fields/maps that one could explore. I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out ho wto do this though. I wanted my main character of my game to be animated 2D on the side of the screen, but have the player of the game be able to walk through and explore a 3D world. I've seen it done before, so I know it's deffinately possible.

Does anyone know where on the forums I would be able to find those posts? Some were videos on youtube, but I was possitive that there was a forum post somewhere on this site going into a bit of detail. Might of even had some code for it or something. I've been looking around for quite some time and I just can't seem to find them again.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
